ScoutMy favorite spot in all of St. Louis! The lady who is the owner and the front desk attendant are wonderful and I have never had a problem here with anything! Free WiFi, laundry, and a public shower and bathroom if needed! There’s also cool walking/biking trails and a park with a children’s playground as well! The gas station is also walking distance for any small necessities

GuideGraham Cave State Park could be a lovely campground but is in dire need of updating everything. The campsites are very uneven and the bathhouses are partially working. The campground host, however, was very friendly and diligent. The trails were well kept but unfortunately it was so dry the river was very low.

GuideWe enjoyed our stay at the Ray Behrens Recreational Area in October. Reservations must be made on line but we were able to pick our site first and then reserve. Cell service is good there. Being shoulder season the beach was closed but the marina was open and the Mark Twain Lake was stunning. It was quiet but during season it seemed likely to be very crowded. The sites were decently spaced especially on the outer loops. Our one complaint is the lack of toilets, they are very far away from some of the sites. If you want to experience some local flair, stop at the Route J Market for a bite to eat.
