This nice little gem was a great find for the wife and I. Pulling in was tight, but anyone worth their salt driving can get in with no problems. Even though we did not get to meet the host, she was available over the phone and never ignored our calls or texts. There is only one camp site, which means you will, more then likely, have the whole place to yourself. If you do not have a camper, the host does provide and tiny home Air B&B as well. And finally, it was just quiet and peaceful. We slept with windows open in our camper with minimal noise. Highly recommend this out of the way spot
We loved the park. Great for walking our dogs. The only issue was the poor road maintenance in getting to our campsite. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay tremendously and will definitely recommend to friends and family.
In the past year the property management and service has seriously declined. As a result of neglect the initial sites to which the management directed me were not functioning properly. I tried three sites and each either had not electricity or no water. The gravel to and from each site had grown over and the office was non-responsive to my efforts for help. As a result of the poor state of repair, I hit an impediment with my RV sewage connection. The result was at least$500 of damage. Until more attention is paid to the upkeep of this potential good property, I would recommend that you not use this location.
It’s a city RV park, what do we really expect? It’s not camping for sure. Traveling from California with kids who have been at the mercy of cross-country RV parks- this was a reprieve for them, pool, bikes, playgrounds. We’ve paid $100 a night for less. Clean, cute, easy access, not sketchy. Noise, sure, but nothing a fan or AC could drown out. Airplanes every few hours, traffic from a nearby highway. Site 44 happens to be the only one without a tree for shade though, so unless you like hot sun- book another one.
The lake is currently drained because they are working on the dam. Made reservations online. Pretty much all the sites I thought would be easy to get into were reserved, so I chose this one. Website said it was good for 53' unit and 2 vehicles. We have a 36' 5th wheel and it was a little difficult to get in. Someone previously knocked down the site number post. I also had a problem with the post for site 31 being in the way. I finally just backed in by driving on the grass. It only fits the 2 vehicles if each one has 2 tires in the grass. It turns out that all of those reserved sites online were empty. There is hardly anyone here. It would have been nice to have one of those angled for better entry. Other than the empty lake and difficult backing in it is a nice park. Standard COE fare.
We stopped by on our way home to check out the campground. First impression is that’ll we’ll be back to stay the weekend in the near future. Campground is a small for a State Park but the grounds look well kept up. The staff at check in office were very friendly and answered all the questions we had plus we got a lot of information on other spots.
Arrived at the park a little after 11pm and the gate was locked with a sign saying “Closed 10pm-6am.” On the website it said “first come first serve.” Very disappointing, ended up driving another 30 min and booking a hotel.
Teckville was a good place to stay. And it could still be. Nice Boat ramps Bathroom. But a person can not get no one to answer the phones in Mississippi
We were in site 4 on the lake. Beautiful view! Grounds could use some updating but we really enjoyed our stay here.
Absolutely beautiful ❤️
Had a beautiful stay it's very ppl friendly and quiet no riff faff...safe place to stay and private
Ok campground that served its purpose. No frills, parking-lot style campground. Neighborhood around the park and Graceland is pretty run down. Worked well for visiting Graceland, which was very interesting and worthwhile. We also visited the Rock & Soul museum and the Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel where Dr King was assassinated. Both were very informative. Beale street was packed with tourists.
Such a gem of a campground - 15 minutes off I-40 East but felt like a safe option a little ways out of the busy downtown Memphis area. From the moment I pulled in I could tell I had made a great choice - super clean showers, bathroom and laundry. The grounds are impeccable and sites and roads are all paved. Site 21 is nice and private at end of a row and is pull thru
This might be one of my favorite places to camp on Enid lake. It is a favorite for many locals and more off the beaten track. Has showers bathrooms playground boat ramp and beach for the campers and picnickers that come to the lake. RV spots with or without full hookup. Reservations available online
This is a very popular camping area with very good fishing it is fairly well maintained with showers and bathrooms hookups for RVs tents etc mostly quiet and reservations can be made online. Close by many other camping areas on Enid lake, a general store, the hatchery, floating dock, fishing Pier on the channel, playgrounds, Beach, basketball, and corps of engineer field office.
Camping here was very quiet at night. deer frequent the property. There is a pump stattion but the noise is just an electrical hum. At the time I was camping only had one spot for an RV and tiny home for rent. They were building a second tiny home. I have a 29 ft travel trailer, Manuvering to and withtin the property was tight but doable. There are full hook ups but you need to take your trash. Very peacfull stay. Thank you.
The number is not working there is no website and Google maps says it's permanently closed
Most of the campers you see here are RVs. We camped in tent, wish they had tent pads. Good view of the lake, nice clean bathroom. Spacious depending on which site you choose. We reached there in the night, the camp numbers were hard to read as they were painted on the floor. If you fish they have fish cleaning station in the campsite entrance.
This is a huge campground and the price for a spot was at least double what we would pay elsewhere (nearly $100). We weren’t able to get a campground at Tom Sawyer and the reviews were all over the place for the rest of the Memphis campgrounds that we decided to go ahead and splurge on this one.
This was our first Jellystone and I was shocked at how many campers the campground accommodated - there are RVs everywhere. Most of the amenities and services are located at the front of the campground and includes a store and propane, playground, dog run, pool, showers and laundry, gold mining station, and sports courts (basketball, Gaga ball, and basketball). Further back in the campground, was another playground and dog run and a really cute little lake.
We were staying off-season so there was no activities and they actually deflated the jumping pad, but my kids still had fun and I could see this campground either being a blast in the summer or being a nightmare because of too many people. While we were there, I saw almost no children and several of the camper sites looked like the guests were staying long-term. For a campground that is marketed towards families, the demographics were a bit strange.
That said, it was super clean, well-organized, the landscaping and sites were maintained, everyone was friendly. We got two loads of wash done and my husband said the showers looked good. There were some restaurants and a Walgreen that looked like they delivered to the campground. WiFi worked and they had cable tv.
We reserved a basic site, but for more money you could get a site with Adirondack patio furniture and there were plenty of cabins as well. We reserved same day online and they have a system for late check-ins.
I’m definitely giving Jellystone another go - but next time during the summer. I’m not sure whether this campground is a good base for exploring Memphis - I think if you had a car it would probably be fine as it’s only 20 minutes or so.
This is a very peaceful stop with 30 amp power and water available. Well kept and very nice host. John communicated with us perfectly. The land and lake are beautiful.
It has a pond in the rear with fishing allowed. 🦌 🦌 deer come out in the evening. Can see the stars 🌟 at 🌙 night.
Small, quiet campground on reservoir. Plenty of space and privacy between sites. Concrete pad was level and ample. Any size rig could fit into these sites. Each site has its own garbage cans. Water and electric at each site. Dump station in campground. Verizon signal was good. Bathrooms had prison style toilets and showers were functional but dirty. Showers were in dire need of repair to floor and deep cleaning. Bathrooms were maintained daily but not adequately cleaned. No soap in bathroom, only air dryer for hands, no paper towels, no garbage can in bathrooms. There were unattended dogs on leashes/in crates at a couple of sites that barked aggressively when people passed by. Owners were absent for good part of day. Nearby lake access road passes right by campground is routinely used by locals. Not staffed by COE official.
Beautiful place to camp and relax. Clean campsites and bathrooms. Nice hiking trails.
Best thing about campground is how close it is to Graceland. 24/7 security. Staff onsite in office from 9 am to 4 pm. Checkin and checkout time is 11 am. Sites are gravel. Campground can accommodate all sizes of rvs. Dogs welcome. Bathrooms are clean and functional, just need a bit of cosmetic updating (peeling paint, missing tiles). Laundry on site. Area on north side of campground for tents and small rvs with electric and water only. All other sites have full hookups which include sewer. No dump station on site. Must call to make reservations, no online option. Good Sam affiliate.
They have large flat sites. Some with full hookup some just P/W. Reserve on line. We were there in Feb not busy at all. COE was responsive to bathroom cleaning issue. Host was very friendly. Camp ground is very clean but went for a hike along the shore and the trash was off the chart!!!
The campground hosts are excellent in this campground. It is well maintained and has many choices of sites from woodland to lake side.
It is definitely not the nicest Park we have been to- laundry facilities are run down, two of the dryers will tear up your clothes, and the bathrooms are never clean. They are working on adding gravel to the spaces, right now though when it rains you are in a swamp. The spaces are also very close together. All that being said, not a terrible monthly price, the trash cans are shared and the wifi is slow in the evening, but you're not paying extra for that or water or power. It is quiet, everyone keeps to themselves, they say it is 3 month maximum but I do know of some who are staying longer. It is in the nicer part of Memphis, so if you are looking for a safe place to stay here, this is it. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway in the country, it is not.
