      Clarkco State Park Campground

      I was a bit disappointed they have revamped or as they say improved the campgrounds. However, my campsite was in a hot, blazing sun, no trees, no shade nothing. I didn’t feel like I was camping in the woods. I really felt more like it was just a big concrete parking lot. I understand that this is happening across Mississippi and I hate it. I don’t mind trees being trimmed and cut so big Riggs can get in there. I don’t mind that at all, but just don’t get rid of everything. I have a tent that I use and I had nowhere I could put it up.the lake is a beautiful, beautiful lake and it used to have pretty pretty trees.! I did cut my trip short by one day/ night. It was just miserable and I didn’t enjoy it.

      Great place

      Clean and cozy campground. Lots of trees. Cement and gravel sites available. Laundry, restrooms, pool, dog park, and a pond that you can fish in.

      Marathon Lake Campground

      Rundown but quiet

      I’ve camped here a few times and there’s rarely more than five sites occupied. It’s very peaceful. Swimming area. Too many trees for good Starlink.

      Great site

      Overall the campsite is super clean, all the hookups work and I've enjoyed my time. The spot I got was right on the water! Only thing I would say is that the water for the rv hookup has a slight chemical smell to it

      Lots of open space

      Clean air conditioned bathrooms and showers, huge lake for fishing, boating or swimming, very quiet, friendly rangers and host, paved lots are semi-level with some more level than others, full hookups for all spaces, beach area, easy access for any size RV with both pull thru and back in sites.

      Shockaloe Base Camp I Camping

      Secluded and pretty, but slightly noisy!

      Stopped here for one night and it was lovely. No need to pay the 7$, since you probably won’t see anybody here. The toilets were locked and no water, so bring everything you need. Had a great night’s sleep except for the super loud train that runs past once or twice in the night. Worth it for a great free spot!

      Great place to stay. Nice & quite, staff are friendly. Will definitely be back. Bath house was nice & clean. Only bad thing is can say is didn't have sewage hookup

      Big Creek Water Park

      First time here

      It's quite & nice. Water was up so boat ramp was closed. Did catch a fish on bettle spin. Would definitely come back. Nice spot just outside laurel.
