RangerThe park here has a Frisbee golf course as well as soccer fields and a trail system that wraps the campground and park. In the campground, the spots are plentiful, especially if you winter camp like I do. There are accommodations for any size camper, including pull through locations for big rigs. This campground offers electric and non electric sites. The spots with the most privacy are here by the river. Other spots inside the park are more exposed. If you kayak, there's also a boat ramp! I'd recommend that anyone looking to visit minneopa come here if you have a large rig. The logistics are far easier here, and you're still close to the bison.
ScoutThis campground is great especially when compared with state park camping. Full hookups available, quite a few pull through lots and close to the twin cities! No wifi, so make sure you've got decent cell service and hotspot if you need internet/wifi. Verizon gets ok coverage here, T-Mobile does too. Showers/bathhouses are clean and the hot water runs forever and not coin operated or push button like some others I've been to! Bonus! Good toilet paper in the bathrooms not the cheap stuff. The lake is literally out your door and they do have a small swimming beach and boat launch. MN Horse and Hunt club is about a mile or so up a trail access that is Almosy directly across from the camp entrance. There is an ATM there along with a bar and restaurant. Be prepared to hear gunshots regularly but it's not really bothersome unless you aren't prepared for it. The trail to the club is safe to walk though. The campground ONLY accepts cash so be sure to hit the ATM before you get here. They also charge $2 extra per dog if you have them. Nightly rate for the full hookup site I had was $32 with the dog. They charge .50 c per log for firewood. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. The staff are really nice and laid back. It's a really nice little campground!

Some sites are more shaded than others in the east loop so look at photos if you want shade. Sites that back up to the green space are very sunny. 87 is a great site! Plenty of space for a trailer or tent with a private “nook” for the fire pit.
LegendAmazing campsite! Sites are large and grassy! We had a lakeview site right off the paved walking/biking trail with room for a large tent and the pop-up camper. Fire ring and picnic table provided. A man drives through the campsite close to dusk to sell firewood as there is no traditional office. Bathrooms and showers are located near the dump station and dumpster. Be on the lookout for the code for the doors during your reservation process. We had missed it and had to ask a neighbor if they knew the codes so we could shower.

GuideMy family and I took our second trip with our travel trailer to Lebanon Hills Campground locates here in the Apple Valley. It is located on the fringe of a nature reserve with miles of hiking and biking trails. We stayed in the west loop and all the sites are full hook up back in spots. Each site has well groomed grass and plenty of space between campers. Site also came with a XL picnic table and fire ring w/grill grate. The East Loop provides campers with more rustic accommodations. Also in the East Loop is a nice play ground and trails. In between the different loops is a nice pond with groomed trails that go all the way around. About a half mile from the campground is Skills Park which contains over 10 miles of mountain bike trails! One down side is that if you want to swim you have to travel about 4 miles to Lebanon Hills Visitor Center where there is a beach. They do rent paddles boards and kayaks there. All in all, beautiful place and a great trip!!

GuideSites were long enough for our 40ft fifth wheel camper plus the truck and we had a large yard. Sites have crushed asphalt base and are decently level. Grounds are well maintained. Two boat/fishing docks, playground, pavilion, and hiking trails for things to do. Price is very reasonable for water and electric hookup. Just be prepared for the bugs!
