Dakotah Meadows RV Park

Rates at Dakotah Meadows RV Park run $40 to $50 per night for full hookup sites, and reservations are available and worth making early, especially around major events at the adjacent Mystic Lake Casino. The park sits on tribal lands in Prior Lake, Minnesota, with straightforward drive-in access and a layout that includes both back-in and pull-through sites spread across two distinct areas: a lower section near a pond and road, and an upper hill with three rows of pull-throughs and roughly ten additional back-ins. The website's campsite map shows only the lower sites, so campers planning to request specific spots should call ahead.

Sites are paved concrete and level, each with its own power pedestal, water connection, and fire pit. One reviewer noted that "sites are 60+ feet, concrete and level," with paired pull-throughs positioned so neighboring rigs face away from each other. The grass between pads is consistently described as well-maintained. Noise is a documented consideration: sites near the casino access road can see traffic well past midnight, and a construction project adjacent to the property was generating daytime activity as of mid-2025.

The park includes a card-controlled bathhouse and laundry room, a dog park, an on-site RV wash bay, and 24-hour fuel pumps. WiFi is available but has tested below 1 MB download speed in some sites, and Verizon coverage has been reported as weak in certain spots. A casino shuttle runs through the campground and drops guests at their sites. The park is roughly 25 to 30 minutes from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and Mall of America, making it a functional base for Twin Cities travel. Campers exploring places to camp near Prior Lake will find this one of the more developed options in the metro corridor.

Pet owners should note that the dog park fencing has some gaps at ground level where smaller dogs could slip under. Previous occupants have not always cleaned up after their dogs, so checking a site before setting up is a practical step. Security patrols the grounds regularly. Dakotah Meadows works best for RV travelers who want full hookups, urban access, and a manageable overnight stop between longer legs of a trip.

The RV park will be closed between November 15 and March 17*

Many visitors highlighted level concrete sites, full hookups, and friendly staff as key strengths. Casino traffic creates noise issues for some sites, though the convenient location and reasonable pricing appeal to many campers.

Quiet and safe

Small little campground next to large casino. We lucked out and were able to stay 2 nights without reservations….only had to move because they were fully booked for the 4th…large concert event happening across the street. You will need to call early in the day to talk to office staff…who are very friendly. If after hours and there are no spots, you can dry dock in large lot in front of office. There is fuel on site as well as RV wash station. Bath house and laundry and card controlled ($5 card deposit on check in)…well maintained facilities. Dog park available, watch a few spots in fence near bottom where fencing has risen up…little dogs could easily climb under. Very convenient for visiting Minneapolis…25/30 minutes from airport/Mall of America (Aquarium) and Security patrols regularly and there is shuttle if you want to visit casino. Pool at hotel is not included. Golf attraction is being completed next door so there was some construction traffic during day as expected.

Clean and Convenient to the Twin Cities

We have stayed here for business.

Dakotah Meadows is one of the nicer parks in the Twin Cities area.  Grounds are mostly well groomed and the roads are maintained. There is some pride reflected in the ownership.

We last stayed in side 25, a back in up on the hill.  We have also stayed in the pull through sites, but not really a fan of those.  Still, I would choose this park over others in the area for the access to 494 and 35W.

Dakotah's website has an incomplete campsite map showing only the lower sites between the pond and road.  What the map doesn't show is the three rows of pull-through and additional 10 back-in sites at the top of the hill.

Nice modern campground

Many pull through sites available - most of which you pull through to face another site - great if you are camping with friends and want to share the area. Full hook up sites at a reasonable rate. Secure shower/bathhouses and a large play park for kids. There is an RV wash station and fuel pumps on-site. Shuttle bus comes through the camp if you want to go to the casino and play- it’s also within walking distance.

The only RV Resort that you should stay at when in south Minneapolis !

This place has everything and it’s in great as new condition.
About 100 sites that’s big draw is the Mystic Lake tribal Casino. Sites are two pull-thru’s to each site. Your door is opposite of your site mate and you each have your own power pedestal w/water. Sites are 60+ feet, concrete and level. Each site has their own fire pit. Shower rooms and Laundry room require hotel card entry. Cards are $5 with $3 returned at check-out. The Casino operates a round trip Shuttle that picks you up and drops you at your site.

Great Casino Campground

This is what you would expect for a casino campground. It is quiet, staff are friendly, easy access, delivery services through 3rd parties, and dog friendly.

Nice campground, but can't give 5 stars this time.

We stayed 2 nights in site B5. It was a large back in site with plenty of room for our two very large dogs. The water wasn't turned on yet, but we were able to fill our fresh water tank with a hose from their laundromat. Each campsite has their own trash receptacle, which was great, but I wish the previous occupants had used it. I had to clean up exorbitant amounts of dog poop before I could even put our outdoor rug down. Then I spent the rest of the weekend picking up other dogs' poo all over our campsite so the campground staff didn't blame us for neglecting to clean up after our dogs.  We would be willing to try the campground again, but would probably chose a site further from one of the main roads into Mystic Lake Casino. We heard a lot of traffic coming and going well into the wee hours of the night.

Nice well maintained sites for a good price

The sites are paved and have well-maintained grass. We were located near the casino road, which has an occasional loud car, even at night. Also, wifi is not great, ess than 1MB download speeds from our site, and our Verizon service was pretty poor in our spot, max 2 bars.

Great Campground

Arrived after office closed but looked at late arrivals and choose site not on list and parked in one. Paid the next day after they opened. Sites are concrete and level. We did not unhook since leaving the next day. Nice place to stay to unhook if you want to explore Minneapolis.

Beautiful Campground

This is a really nice campground with cement parking pads with full hookups. The grass around the lots is very green, lush and well maintained. Campground is right next to the hotel/casino and very much within walking distance. There is a RV wash bay available for a fee and the campground even has gasoline available 24 hours a day using a credit card. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We love it here

We enjoy this park a lot. We stay here 2-3 times per summer. Shuttle takes you to casino, but sometime we don’t even go there and just enjoy the area. Good things are level cement parking area and grassy spots. Bad thing is they don’t make you pay to make a reservation so people reserve a spot and don’t show up. My photo shows our row with 5 empty spots and they said they ere full.
