Nice area

Nice area in the Irish Hills. The campground has a couple of loops. Most sites around the outside are decently wooded. There’s a nice little mile nature trail through one of those loops.

There’s a nice dog run that we took advantage of.

There’s a couple of lakes where you can fish and…

Sites are super secluded, a lot are deep with tons of open woods behind them which is beautiful. There’s a huge dog run area that we took advantage of.

The day use beach area was great, and you can swim and kayak in the water.

However there was a couple of issues. One was we had a good down pour…

Extensive Campground

This is an extremely large campground. About seventy-five percent of the sites are electric. We stayed in Site 255, which was not electric (booked last minute). This site was fairly level but very close to other sites…wouldn’t recommend it. However, Site 269 (next to Site 277) afforded great…

Great family place!

Love this place! Spend as much time as possible here. Perfect family camp. Decent sized shades lots. Nobody camps in the field in the pictures. It has mostly seasonal campers and is right on the lake with boat docks.

Great weekend!

Got to camp 9/10 and will be staying thru 9/12. Lot 102 is perfect! Shade the majority of the day, very back of the camp ground and close enough to walk to everything! We got up Saturday morning and rented a row boat for the day. Spent the day checking out the lakes, then hiked a couple of the…

Rules don’t seem to apply as people walk right thru your site. 1 person even walked up by me while I was cooking to see what it was. Drinkers partying loud music and voices till after midnight. The facilities are not the worst i have seen but the toilet in the men’s facility leaks at the base by…

Nice private sites, bathrooms can be far

We enjoyed camping here with the family. The sites are nicely wooded to give more privacy. There are convenient trails through the woods to get to the bathrooms but depending on your site it could be about a 10 min walk. The kids wished we had packed their bicycles to make trips to the bathrooms…

Not family friendly

Thought this would be a good campground for a family and it wasn’t. Lots of rules limiting the kids. Kids stuff is only open during certain times. Staff are unpleasant.

Perfect campsite for children!

This campsite is perfect for children! The workers are the nicest people I have encountered at a campsite. They have a lake / beach for swimming, kayaks, paddle boards, and canoes to use at the lake. They also have a massive slip ‘n slide, zip lining, and a rock climbing wall. The bath houses are…

Great secluded sites

The sites are spacious with the right amount of seclusion from your neighbors! Paved roads good for bike riding and walking the dogs. The only thing missing is a camp store!

Labor Day at Chain

We stayed at site #99 which is fairly easy to find and somewhat secluded from the main camper section of the campground. The site and neighboring sites are non-electric which makes you have to be creative if you need an air mattress. The site is partial sun midafternoon. The campground can get…

We stayed two nights at 16N electric site with our 16ft camper. Lots of room, and sits on higher ground. Mosquitoes were crazy no matter the bug protectants used but it had been a very wet year and the park was scheduled to spray soon. Lake life is where it’s at, plenty to do on/in the water! Bike…
