Bucketlist ocean views

My family and I (two adults, 14 yo and a 9 yo) just visited Searsport Shores for the first time again since our kids were very little and were so happy to be back! We were there during high camping season/post Covid so it was very busy (especially the RV sites) but still very peaceful and quiet at…

Super nice park overlooking water

Pro: we had a great spot (30) and great view of water. Many spots not as close to water as we were. Spot gravel and took us few extra minutes to move around to find most level Part . Owners great and on site. Close to Acadia National park, great lobster places and many other sites. Sue prepared a…

Water view sites, pool, near Bar Harbor

We upgraded to the oceanfront sites and though we enjoy camping on the water, the waterfront sites are very expensive and very close together. Also, while the tide is out it’s just a gross area of mud, muck, and rocks. We couldn’t even kayak because the tide is that dramatic.

The rust level is…

Friendly Campground

We've stayed at Duck Puddle several times over the years. The sites have always been tidy and staff friendly. Tent sites are close together but comfortable and the location is very convenient to Damriscotta and other downeast towns.

Best Camping Experience This Year

Lori and all the other folks run a beautiful campground with a cool old school vibe. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves so much that we immediately booked the same site of a return trip in the fall. The Anaconda of a rope swing near the office is a must. So is watching the sunset from…

Packed but quiet

We stayed at loop A45 drive thru site, but the picnic table and firering were on the left side (our RV has door on the right). It made the whole site setup a bit awkward, but we managed. Tight site but enough space to sit around the fire and enjoy the weather. Surprisingly, we had 3/4 bars on…

Beautiful small campground

I love it here! We just got back from our camping trip and had so much fun! The ocean views when you walk down to the scenic outlook are beautiful! The pool and playground are great for kids! And the outdoor showers on the back side of the bathhouse are so great! Another great weekend of camping!

Amazing Experience

Great experience! Campground is clean and well organized. Sites are well separated and bathroom/showers are well stocked, clean, and easily accessible. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Miles and miles and miles of hiking trails right off the site and easy access to Camden for a day on the town.

First time to ANP

Camp staff was great. Campsites were nice. I was in a pop up tent in my Tacoma truck. The bus system is great, with a regular bus right in the campground. Much easier to see Acadia with the bus system, instead of fighting traffic and parking. Restrooms and showers were ok. Would recommend

Nice big sites

Very clean bathroom and dish wash station. Free bus ride around the loop and to the schoondic point. One dump station for the whole campground and can get crowded near checkout time.

When you want camping with direct ocean access this is the place to go.

I stayed here for a week in may. Scheduled an additional week in september. And drove up for just a day to enjoy in July. Sitting in the Adirondack chairs in the grassy area adjacent to the ocean allowed us to observe porpoise, a resident bald eagle and a variety of birds.

Clean and quiet- close to parks and touristy stuff

We really enjoyed our visit here. Sites were a little tight in some sections, but they were laid out so it wasn't too crowded.

Sites were grassy, level, and lots of shade. We loved the area too- Acadia is right there, and Bar Harbor was really fun. We hope to come back!
