Beautiful, quiet location with views of the deer isle bridge and access to walking the beach. Owners are so nice and friendly and accommodating. Sites are mostly private and have space. Very clean.

Do not take site H5

This would have been a 5 star campground if it were not for the fact that I paid full price for a "campsite" that was NOT a campsite. It was a parking space for my trailer and nothing more yet I paid the same price as everyone else. If they try to give you site H5, just keep on moving. I have a very small tear drop trailer and it barely fit on this patch of median in between 2 roads. Couldn't use picnic table because it was on steep drop off (not room for it on pad). Couldn't use fire ring because it was 6 inches from road, 6 inches from my back bumper (had to park car on side of road or down hill because there was no room on site) and 6" from picnic table that was about to fall down hill. They knew when I made reservation that I had 2 dogs yet they gave no indication that this site was so small as to be unusable. I feel very cheated. Most of the H sites are close together and have little privacy but this one was just beyond anything I have ever seen. Beach was nice but really nothing could have made up for being stuck on this postage stamp for 6 days. If I had been told when reservation was made, I would have kept looking for another campground but of course by the time I got here, everything else was booked up and I had zero options.

Beautiful sites and friendly staff

My husband and I absolutely loved staying here. Just by chance we stayed here for one night and we already want to plan a trip back to stay for a week! The campground is beautiful and well maintained! We went swimming at their beach and saw a seal!

Quiet and nice

Clean, orderly and peaceful. Great campground for small rigs, pull behinds, vans and tents. Water view sites are very limited so book ahead. Sites 12 and 10 offer good water views. Other sites range from secluded to close. A very quiet and peaceful rocky beach is found down a nice path with two metal bridges. Sunset views were great. The CG showers are located at the office with two enclosed outdoor showers and one indoor shower. Hubby used the outdoor shower and thought it was great. Rather than toilets, the CG provides “privies” - basically permanent porta-potties in nice large wood sheds. All were exceptionally clean, but flies can be bothersome to some. The location is very rural so little nearby things to do or places to eat. But that was part of the charm.

Best Camping Experience This Year

Lori and all the other folks run a beautiful campground with a cool old school vibe. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves so much that we immediately booked the same site of a return trip in the fall. The Anaconda of a rope swing near the office is a must. So is watching the sunset from the chairs overlooking the channel.

Terrific campground

Lori and family are great hosts to this great campground on the "reach"/bay. Choice of wooded or open ocean side sites. Facilities are well cared for, both indoor and outdoor hot showers. Blue Hill peninsula is chill antidote to busy crowded MDI but close enough to visit. Tents and trailer sites.

Great campground

We had an amazing experience at this campground. Small, very friendly and welcoming staff (Lori made us feel like we were staying with family). Highly highly recommend getting fresh lobster from the local lobster man that lives on the grounds, they even supply you with a pot to boil them!(ask for the recipe )How much more could you ask for from a campsite. Site number 4 was great it was tucked away a bit yet still had a nearby bathroom and a 3 minute walk to the seashore which was beautiful! We stayed in the early fall and could only imagine how perfect the beach would be midsummer. Everyone was so friendly and we can’t wait to come back!
