Good place to see the surroundings

The reception at this campground is very friendly. Pitches are fairly spacious, but still a bit close together. Garbage is picked up in the morning, which is very nice.

The sanitary facilities are quite outdated and, in addition, could definitely be a bit cleaner.

The pool is clean, but everything around it also looks very outdated and worn.

We had a pleasant time here and would definitely recommend this place for a few days.

Ocean Front Property

The check-in couple were awesome! Chatted for a while and made us feel welcomed. The campgrounds were very nice, and our tent site was the largest site on the grounds.

The loss of one star is the pricing. I guess the campgrounds were bought out by some corporate conglomerate last year, and the current pricing shows. We paid $75 for one night. There was water to the site, but no electricity.

First camping experience

It was me and my family’s first time camping and we totally loved it I thought it would be more stressful with a toddler and a baby but I was actually quite easy and I enjoyed myself

The views of the ocean are amazing! so peaceful for sunset and morning coffee. the water or bathrooms can be a a bit of a walk depending where you’re staying but overall the campground isn’t that large. the bathrooms are clean and the cedar showers are awesome! we’ve been excited to come back here since we left.

Ownership has complete lack of customer service

On the plus side, the campground was clean and well maintained. We loved the views from Porpoise Point. That said, the owners were completely unresponsive. Despite numerous efforts to contact them both before and during our stay, we were unsuccessful. The biggest issue we had were up charges on the campsites for a canceled Lobster Fest. The campground continued to advertise the Lobster Fest despite its cancellation and then refused to issue refunds. To make up for this, they offered one lobster dinner (worth $30) to offset the $80+ up charges.
The campsites with hookups are small, tight, and close together. Road noise from Hwy 1 starts around 5:30am.

Beautiful small campground

I love it here! We just got back from our camping trip and had so much fun! The ocean views when you walk down to the scenic outlook are beautiful! The pool and playground are great for kids! And the outdoor showers on the back side of the bathhouse are so great! Another great weekend of camping!

Great location!

We enjoyed our stay here in our motor home. The deck on the ocean is a great place to picnic. Rockport harbor is a short bike ride away with a beautiful ocean side road. Ask the harbor master for directions. The only downside to this campground is traffic noise from Route! Not bad at night but it does start early in the morning. I would still stay there again.

Amazing little Campground

Small but beautifully wooded sites. We had an amazing view of the sunrise. Rockland and Camden are close and worth the visit. The owners host a Lobster bake on Saturdays and it was so good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They also had great showers with hot water! And free coffee in the office at 8. Can’t wait to go back.

Nice cedar showers. Comfy enough even in a van camper with few amenities. Bathrooms very clean.

Fantastic campground

Beautiful small campground with wooded camping sites and a viewing area immediately on the ocean with islands and a lighthouse in the distance. Even though we’re in a trailer with a bathroom I made use of the cedar showers for a long hot shower- awesome! Crystal clean bathrooms. Owners and staff super friendly and helpful. The owner through maps with us to point out the “not to be missed” spots to visit. 5 minutes to Camden, Rockport and Rockland with great restaurants and charming shops. Already booked our next stay!

A casual, well-kempt campground on Maine’s Penobscot Bay

The campsites start level with the main road and then tier downwards towards the water. Campsites on the southside have less trees while campsites in the north are a little more rocky. Decent space in all sites. Down near the water they have a cookout area with picnic tables and a huge open grill for their lobster dinners. Also chairs and benches just to look out over the bay.

Best Campground Ever

Literally the best campground I have ever been to. It's on the ocean with a beautiful area to hang out by the water. The staff and owners where absolutely delightful and even came to say hello and hang out for a bit. Bathrooms were super clean and the showers are of similar construction to a sauna and it feels like a hot shower outdoors. 11/10

Location location location!

The location of this campground is outstanding. Conveniently situated between Camden and Rockport off of Route One, the views of the Penobscot Bay are drop dead gorgeous. You can see the lighthouse of Rockport harbor not seen from the harbor itself. The kayaking, biking and hiking in the area is superb. We love the showers!! And super congenial and helpful hosts.
