    Holly Beach RV Park

Great RV park and a Great Beach

This review is about the Holly Beach RV park that you pay to stay at. There is free camping on the beach. but we stayed at the Holly Beach RV Park located on Mallard street

We stayed 3 nights at the Holly Beach RV Resort and we were the only one here. The park is a large concrete slab in the middle of the Holly Beach community. It has 6-8 back-in, full hook-up sites that can fit any big rig. The beach on the Gulf of Mexico is a very short walk away. Our stay was very quiet and enjoyable. There is free camping on the beach should you want to boondock on the beach. We saw very few locals due to the time of year. All of our hooks-up worked perfectly. The sites are all 50 amp so bring a 30 to 50 amp adapter. I recommend this RV park highly and would stay here again. There is no shower or bath house or laundry. Overall we really loved this place.

    Alligator Parish Park Campground

    Clean and quiet

Stayed one night in 30 ft travel trailer (May 2,2022) and we were the only campers. There were other visitors/fisherman but quiet and peaceful. Restrooms clean and spacious. Shower was separate and locked but host would unlock as needed. All 7 pads are gravel, level, elevated above grass—helpful after hard rain— and would accommodate large rigs. Lake or old river course 100 plus feet from campsites. May bring kayaks next time. Road access is good and signs to guide you. One bar cell service. Each site has sewer but not conveniently located—near entrance to site and would require very long hose or require rigs to block access road when dumping This park happened to be along our route to another campground and not along major highway. Nice place to relax overnight or for few days.

    Vinton RV Park

Easy to Access, Great for Overnight Stop or Long Term

Only $375/mo for Long Term, All Utilities Included, Free Wi-Fi and Free Laundry!

We were heading back to Texas after Spring Break and needed a quiet, easy stop for the night. Vinton RV Park ended up being a perfect fit for our family. It’s right off I-10, super easy to find and book, and felt peaceful the moment we pulled in. At first, we had looked at a few other parks online that looked a bit more“luxury” in the photos, but when we got here, we were honestly surprised—in a good way. The amenity center here is actually really nice and has more of a resort feel than some of the other places nearby. Our boys had a blast riding their bikes around the park. It’s a big property, and we felt totally comfortable letting them run around since it’s well off the main road. There's even a gate at the entrance, which adds an extra layer of peace of mind(it was open when we arrived, but I imagine it gets closed later on). All in all, it was a great family-friendly stop, and we’ll definitely keep it on our list for future trips.

    White Oak Parish Park Campground

    This place needs 10 stars!

We couldn’t believe that this place is only $12 after we arrived! It is as nice as any experience campground we’ve stayed at! It has 8 pull through sites. Each site has electricity and water. They each have a fire ring, barbecue, garbage can and picnic table. Each site has a nice lawn and there are trees that provide shade. The tent area is tuck off next to the tree line and they have fire rings and barbecue pits as well. It has clean bathrooms and showers and it has a dump station. They have a huge picnic area along with a great park for kids. They provide a dog station with poop bags and trash. This is situated right on the river and is only a short walk for some amazing views. The campground was quiet and clean I would imagine it would be hard to get a spot here during the busy season! Early morning fisherman do come by the camp on their way to the boat launch but the noise didn’t bother us. This is truly a gem of Louisiana and one you should definitely take the time to discover.

    Holbrook Parish Park Campground

    Small, very pleasing campground

Three small loops in the park, one for tenters, and two for RVs. There is a small RV loop located by the boat ramp, and another located by the playground/bath house. We stayed at site 2 near the bath house. The site was far from level, sloping down in the front, but we were able to make it work. The staff were VERY friendly and the grounds well groomed . Fire rings and smoker grills were brand new. There are electric and water hookups but no sewer, a dump station is available on site. We plan to visit again on our return trip home. All at a bargain price. Recommended

    Twelve Oaks RV Park

    Good for an Overnighter

Very simple park with few trees but great for an overnight or short stay if you need to be near Lake Charles. I was warmly greeted during check-in. Sites are full hookup and wifi actually worked with reasonable speeds of about 5 mbps. They are also accommodating to overnighters and provided me an easy access pull through for when I left in the morning. I just gave it a 3 because I found nothing bad nor exceptional to swing a rating either way.
