Vinton RV Park

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Right off Interstate 10 in Vinton, Louisiana, this privately run RV park sits in a forested setting near a lake, making it a straightforward overnight stop or longer-term base for travelers moving between Texas and Louisiana. The entrance gate and distance from the highway give sites a degree of separation from road traffic, though at least one reviewer noted that highway noise can carry depending on conditions. Sites vary between grass, gravel, and concrete pads, with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer at each.

The amenity center draws consistent mention across reviews. Multiple campers describe the recreation room as clean and well-maintained, and the on-site pool has been noted as open and in good condition. Free laundry is available on-site, and WiFi is included. The park draws a mix of short-term travelers and long-term residents, including pipeline workers, which gives it a working-camp feel alongside the family-friendly layout. Dogs are welcome, though low-lying sites can get soggy after rain.

"Clean park, full hookups, and a good price for the night right off the highway," notes Jeanne A. Nightly rates run $45, with long-term monthly rates available. Nearby alternatives worth comparing include Delta Downs Casino & Racetrack to the west and Texas Pelican RV Park farther southwest. Reservations can be made online, and the site number is assigned at booking, so no office check-in is required on arrival.

Travelling The Coast

We stayed at Vinton RV Park while traveling from Houston toward Florida, and honestly, it may be one of the best overnight stops we've found along I-10. The park is just minutes off the interstate, making it incredibly easy to get in, hook up, get a good night's sleep, and be back on the road the next morning. Even though it's convenient to the highway, it was surprisingly quiet, clean, and well maintained. What impressed me most was that Vinton RV Park isn't just an overnight stop, it's a place where people actually live comfortably for months. There are spacious sites, covered RV spaces, a swimming pool, recreation room, community kitchen, laundry facilities, and everything is professionally maintained. It's easy to see why so many long-term workers choose to stay here. If you're just passing through, it's one of the best overnight stops on the I-10 corridor. If you need a longer stay, the all-inclusive monthly rates with electricity, water, sewer, and Wi-Fi included are an outstanding value. We'll definitely make Vinton RV Park one of our regular stops anytime we're traveling between Texas and Florida.

Great Place to stay!

My husband and I stayed here for a year, and sadly we had to move because he got relocated. We really enjoyed our time here. There’s a pool nearby, plenty of places to visit, or you can just stay and relax at the park. We met a lot of great people, including some who work on the pipeline and were staying long-term. I’d say this place is great for both long-term and short stays, I’ve seen campers who only stayed for a day or a week too. Management is great and I highly recommend this place.

Easy to Access, Great for Overnight Stop or Long Term

Only $375/mo for Long Term, All Utilities Included, Free Wi-Fi and Free Laundry!

We were heading back to Texas after Spring Break and needed a quiet, easy stop for the night. Vinton RV Park ended up being a perfect fit for our family. It’s right off I-10, super easy to find and book, and felt peaceful the moment we pulled in. At first, we had looked at a few other parks online that looked a bit more“luxury” in the photos, but when we got here, we were honestly surprised—in a good way. The amenity center here is actually really nice and has more of a resort feel than some of the other places nearby. Our boys had a blast riding their bikes around the park. It’s a big property, and we felt totally comfortable letting them run around since it’s well off the main road. There's even a gate at the entrance, which adds an extra layer of peace of mind(it was open when we arrived, but I imagine it gets closed later on). All in all, it was a great family-friendly stop, and we’ll definitely keep it on our list for future trips.

Quiet Park

Make your reservation online! I never saw anyone at the office, but they could've come later. The reservation will give you a site number. Clean park, full hookups, and a good price for the night right off the highway.

Laundry, Electric, Wifi All Included in Lot Rent!

The clubhouse at this park just outside Lake Charles is seriously impressive. It’s huge and offers everything you could need from billiards, shuffleboard, a cozy reading nook, restrooms, a full kitchen, and tons of seating for parties or events.

There's also a super spacious co-working office space, which is rarely used, making it even better if you need a quiet spot to work.

The park also has a great pool, perfect for relaxing.

For $575/month it’s an incredible deal as electric, Wi-Fi, free laundry and the premium amenities are all included in the rent!

Good for an overnight

It was just ok. The spot was almost all soggy so hard to let the dogs out without all of us getting waterlogged. Lots of highway noise and no one in the office.
