3 Day Disaster

Campsites trashed. Campground trashed. Dump station overflowed and closed. Toilets broken, plugged or poop all over toilets and floor. People parking 4-30' campers in one site, on the grass. One person left in the evening, got stuck and had 1' deep ruts. Had to leave to get another truck. It didn't…

It's ok

Sites are not very level but they are separated somewhat. Don't eat at the lodge... I've had better food at Speedway gas station.

Quiet and simple

I stayed 3 nights and I was the only person there the whole time. My site was a good size, a nice camping pad, picnic table, fire ring,  Clean bathrooms, multiple water taps. Note there is a shooting range nearby, I think the hours were 9am-9pm. Didn't bother me during the day, but definitely could…

Lots of good sites

Not far from home, and good choices of type of sites. Biggest negative is no wifi or cell service. But quiet, family friendly, and some sites away from activities to chill out at too.

Miguel’s

Definitely climbers retreat. Beautiful area. Right next to beautiful natural bridge state park. Food in the area is just OK.

Nice & Quaint

We arrived this past weekend and I am very satisfied from our first night experience. We walked the trail Saturday morning and walked around the site (which is small but nice). We have a site right on the creek and have seen a few boats come through. The owner is very nice and communicative. They…

Awesome place

Great little camp ground. Quiet, clean, and affordable. Most of the trails and caves are only seconds away.

Nice park, but tent sites are a joke

The camp site we reserved wasn’t where it wasn’t indicated on the map. It had no fire ring or picnic table and the person in the site next to our site had his tent in our site because his site had a bunch of trees in his and where his tent should have gone the people in the next site had put their…

Small campground, good location, very crowded on weekends

This is one of two campgrounds at Natural Bridges State Resort Park in the Red River Gorge Area of Kentucky.   I visited on the weekend in mid-April and this place was very full.  It is small, so, this meant being very close to other campers.  It is in a great location, near many trails in the…

Gorgeous views and friendly staff

So we were a little skeptical after not enjoying the sister site to this campground (Middle Fork Campground, see my review) but were pleasantly surprised. Although the privacy issue was still an issue (I'm sorry, but when I am camping I don't really want to know any other humans exist) because the…

Most Beautiful Campground Around!

Been camping here for more than 40 years, as a kid we loved it, as an adult camping with kids, love it even more. A few of the sites we have stayed in recently are D011, G007, and I008. All were great, plenty of privacy, sites are far enough away that you don't feel right on top of each other but…

Campground not nearly as impressive as the views!

Stayed at Middle Fork Campground in March 2021, love Daniel Boone National Forest and love the hikes/views at Natural Bridge but the campground is not what we had hoped for. Primitive tent sites are almost right on top of each other with little to no foliage to create privacy. Tent sites are a hike…

Lovely in Spring

Our Spring time excursion at Beech Fork was delightful. All of the cherry trees and foliage are full in bloom and lovely. The lake was lower but it was still nice. The bath houses were impressively clean. They have a nice Park Head quarters with a general store that has grocery items, firewood, and…

Beautiful wooded sites

The sites are big and level with lots of trees in between. The bathrooms were private and clean. The volunteers were really great!

There were two things that detracted from our stay. First, the lake was flooded. One of the volunteers said this isn’t unusual in the spring. We couldn’t use the beach…

Fun, Family Friendly

This campsite is simple but enjoyable and located right next to the RRG. It is family owned and they are wonderful and so hospitable. Prices are low, and you can also purchase a size able amount of firewood for cheap. They’ll even drop it off for you. If the campsites are full, they’ll do their…
