Reached by a dirt access road in the Kentucky portion of Land Between the Lakes, Duncan Lake sits at the end of a short drive that leads to a small clearing with a stone fire ring and enough level ground for three or four tents. The lake is shallow across most of its surface, deeper only near the outlet, and a nearby boat ramp is close enough to carry kayaks on foot. Bald eagles and an active beaver colony have been spotted here on repeat visits. No cell service reaches the site, though the canopy opens enough for a Starlink setup. The lake closes entirely from November 1 through March 15 to protect wintering waterfowl, so timing matters. Paddlers and anglers looking at camping near Grand Rivers will find this one among the more low-key options in the corridor.
