The grass and spacing between spots is wonderful," according to visitor feedback on The Dyrt. Scenic Park

Riverview Camping on the Missouri River

Easy check in, very friendly staff. Level spot, we were lucky to get in the river front…it is a little noisy from the highway from time to time, but we can tune it out. The spot had a double pad which was great because we did get quite a bit of rain. Power and water worked just fine! Easy to get to Sioux City, plenty of riverwalks in the area, and we enjoyed a visit to the Lewis and Clark Museum.
We stayed in October, so the campground was relatively quiet. Bath house was conveniently located, but we did not use.
Honestly, this place is very reasonably priced, clean, handy for what we needed in our travels. Would stay again!!

      Reiff Park

      Pleasantly surprised

Well maintained lawn and trails. This is the second time I’ve stayed. It’s on the honor system. Each (7) has a water spigot, electric, and fire pit. I didn’t check out the amperage as I don’t use it. Restrooms are on the other side of the grounds. Not a quick walk away if you really need them. Only one other camper here both occasions. Well groomed walking trails on the west side behind trees were a wonderful surprise.

      Silver Sioux Recreation Area

Nicely kept campground in quiet setting

A sweet little campground surrounded by nature, with a lovely hiking trail right on the grounds. We stayed on a Saturday in September as an overnight stop on our way to Utah; lots of nice sites available. We liked our Site 9 on the perimeter, with a pretty fence and open field behind us. The facilities were clean, the setting was peaceful, and the price reasonable. A great find for an overnight stop—or a longer stay if you’re looking for some place quiet and scenic.

Sunset at Blue Oasis RV Park

      Very Clean and Well Run

Close to I-29 but far enough to be very quiet. Owners are super nice and very accommodating, have lots of activities going on for campers. Facilities are super clean and quite new. Pool is excellent. Sites and roads are gravel, can be dusty. Quite a few sites are permanent campers but they are very clean and organized. Lower sites are un-level so be prepared to use blocks to get leveled out. Needed to pull up hill some before departure so I could dump tanks as clean out was up hill from my connections. Groceries and gas available in nearby town.

Lewis and Clark State Park Campground

      Easy parking but no shade.

This park is only 1.8 miles west of the highway and is right on the river. Unfortunately, all the large cottonwood trees have been cut down so there is no shade. There is no map posted at the campground, but the lowest numbered spaces are nearest to the bath house which was clean and had hot water that stopped to let you lather up, then press the knob to make it start again. I appreciated the electric service given the hot temps!

      Stone State Park Campground

      Most disrespectful camp experience

Tons of trash was thrown in the tree-lined in site 19. Site 18 had a couple who were yelling for an hour leading up to quite time - the dnr stopped by 3 times to tell them to shove it. Lots of sites blasting music on and off all day. Neither pit toilet or bathhouse had soap/sanitizer. The water spigot was broken so that it ran constantly. Tiny sites, you're practically in your neighbor's tent. Trail was pretty if a bit overgrown. Rate was decent. Little to no cell service with verizon if you are looking for that. I booked the weekend and left early.

      The Place RV park

great spot in middle of nowhere!

The owners of this RV park are super nice and own the hotel as well. I stayed in a hotel spot for better wifi thru the storms. They were super accommodating and I'd come here again! Pet friendly and they have a coin laundromat on site too!

      KOA Campground North Sioux City

      Good facilities

Facilities are what you would expect from KOA, for better (clean and functional) or worse (close to the highway and really not in nature)
