It’s more of 4 1/2 stars than a four star.

As a family, we felt like this was a great campground. It was full hook up with Wi-Fi for a reasonable price. We enjoyed all the trails that the city of Le Mars offers. The shower house was exceptionally clean. The campground itself was clean and well kept. What prevents this from being a full five star review was the beach it was really big but both nights that we were there, the cops had to come and remove people from the beach. The trash cans around the beach were completely over flowing by middle of the day Saturday and were never emptied. Overall, we really did enjoy the campground. We just will not stay on the beach side next time.

Enjoyed our stay

Had a fishing derby going on but was still overall quiet. Shelter house was rented for our family reunion, was a great space.

Great campground

This is a great well kept clean campground. The hosts are amazing and go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. The lake is clean and very pretty. The shower house is newly renovated and very nice. One of our favorite places to stay at!!!!

Nice overall, exceptional bathrooms

Site 42 is on the beach side which is the newer part of the campground, it’s one of the full hookup ones by the sidewalk. It was level and had some shade.m; sites are average size. There’s a dumpster and a container for recycling (not at the same spot), single stream no glass. The cell signal was good and they furnish wifi which was also good. The bathrooms are stupendous! Shiny floor, air conditioned and residential faucets in the showers! No button pushing! The trails are great! There are 1 and 2 mile loops to the east and 5 miles that follows the river to the west and south. We didn’t get in the pond but lots of other campers did. The City rents seasonal spots so there was a mix of locals and travelers. We enjoyed ice cream at Blue Bunny and beer at Wise I.

Well maintained

They have 62 RV spots and seven tent camping sites the RV spots have a really nice level concrete pad half of them have electric and water and the other half also have a sewer hook up charge was $20 a night beautiful old trees new management that is really keeping everything clean Showers and restrooms Fills up on weekends

Just beyond the golf course is the municipal park’s campground. We stayed in the old section (no sewer) which had lovely thick trees offering welcome shade in 90+ degree weather. The sites sit on a small rise between the swimming pond and willow creek. For $20 we got power, water and WiFi. A real find in the middle of corn and soybean country. LeMars is also known as the Ice Cream Capitol as Blue Bunny is headquartered here.
