We only spent a night at the resort (actually slept in the cave). One thing to know for sure, bring a tarp or tent to cover yourself. We went in March, so with all the runoff from the snow ir was a very wet experience.
I’ve been here twice as a scout so it was a lot of fun to return as an adult…
Went there last weekend had to do a walk up everything else was reserved. Clean park area, bathrooms were disgusting though. Talked to the DNR he was very friendly and knowledgeable. Plenty of places to walk around and hike. Overall a good place to stay for a few days but not much to do after that
Very quiet, small campground (possibly more quiet than usual being the 1st weekend of the season). Most sites are relatively private. Nice hiking trails within a short walking distance from campsites. There are 4 walk-in sites overlooking the Mississippi River. Clean restroom/showers.

Out in the middle of bluff country. This nice campground plays to the active bodied person well. From golf to tubing to an indoor swimming pool and restaurant. This place has a lot to offer.
Our site was very large, which was nice as it gave us more than enough room to set up our tent, leaving space between us and the neighboring sites.
For the families - there’s a couple small playgrounds on site, which is a good opportunity for the littles to burn some energy. There’s also a nice…
Decent enough campground. It has a bar with awesome prices on food and drinks, it has a playground with a busted slide. Basketball and volleyball courts, a man made swimming pond fed by a creek, and lots of trails. My kids really liked the pond and playground. They spent most of the weekend getting…
This is a great family camp ground! Winter is best for cave camping! Mostly scouts and church groups during the winter. The cabins are very nice two sets of bunk beds. The best sloppy Joes you’ve ever had!
So say my two 8 year old boys, I happen to agree.
This campsite is HUGE, we were there on a busy 4th July and the campsite was full. But you never felt crowded. Of course with Covid19 not everything was open.
But the highlight is the location on the Root River. Tubing the river…
Gravel parking spots, fairly level, most without shade unless you get on the "back loop" where you can find 4 with good shade. All manner of amenities (electric only, water & electric, and a few with full hookups). Bathrooms are clean and well stocked. 4 private showers…
Bathrooms and site is pristine, perfect layout w nearby root river and full of things to do...What a wonderful and unique spot. Took my son and his buddy, but would be great for a group to pair campsites too!!
Always an annual family favorite. Covered swimming pool, golf course, right on the bike trail, near Root River, and great restaurant. Grounds are very clean and pretty area.
Lots of atv trails patchy phone coverage fun place
I almost don’t want to write this review. This is a well kept secret and should stay that way. A quiet nook off the main road opens to a cozy campground. Some of the nicest people I have meet!
