We stayed for two nights and had a great experience. Campsites had decent privacy and even on a Friday night, quiet hours were respected. We were on a wheelchair accessible site which was the only one available, so there was more pavement than the other sites.
There was a dishwashing sink…
Campground quiet and bathroom and showers very clean. Our site was close to the trails leading to the dunes. Loved watching the waves on Lake Michigan and climbing the sand dunes.

I took my son for a quick trip, but the camp grounds were full, so we made a day of hiking, biking and fishing…of course we had a picnic, too. The trail head near the fishing dock was the perfect place to park. It allowed hiking one way and biking the other. The trails were very well maintained,…

Very well maintained sites. Typical National Park standards. Gracious camp host. Beautiful National Park.

The campground itself was great. The sites were pretty close together and not and tree barrier between them. It was super close to the beach and tons of things to do in the area. We stayed Sunday through Thursday and it was pretty empty. However it POURED down rain 2/4 of…
Compared to the other popular campground in the state park this is way less crowded. There’s tons of trails to do along the lakeshore and none are really far from one another. I grew up in NWI so I didn’t camp in Indiana often but I did here and loved it! There are a bunch of raccoons that can come…
Great park with lots to do, all the MI state park amenities, and natural beauty. However, you can hear the highway traffic from the campgrounds and the sites are pretty open with little privacy from your neighbors.

They are the worst ever . Rude as ever.
Camp ground was located off a main road but plenty far to have little noise. The camp is located inside the park so you go into 2 gates but really don't have to wait at the first main park gate outside the first time in. The spots were wide but not deep and the really only bad remark I have is the…

My family loves coming here! The scenery is beautiful, you can fish, hike, or just relax. You're in the Chicago suburbs so it's easy to get to a store or restaurant if you need. It's close to home for us, so it's perfect for a quick camping trip. Only drawback is that it's a little pricey, but the…
We stayed at this campground last fall. It's easy access, clean spacious sites, and how quiet it was considering it proximity to S.R. 421 brought us back again this year. We visited Indiana Dunes National Park and State Park. Also jumped on the South Shoreline commuter train that took us into…
Very busy place but no issues with neighbors or noise. The beach is the big draw obviously. We'd return for sure.
Wonderful park ! Bath house’s are clean and nice. All sites have concrete pads mostly level. Great trails. Very nice beach. Quite camping but always booked! Book months ahead of you want to get in this great campground !
The site #63 was great, however you couldn’t stay outside without being eaten alive ! We went for the trails but the mosquitoes kept us inside. But nearby there’s a small town with a great canoe rental ! We did love that and no mosquitoes on moving water !
