Lots to do

This was a wonderful camping trip. We camped with friends. The kids had fun at the park and fishing. Everyone was super nice and inviting. The potluck was amazing. Tons of food. The only slight negative was the sight we stayed at was a little small. Not horrible just wish we had a little more room to stretch out.

Beautiful place to relax

Beautiful campground with plenty of great views. There are ample hiking trails and activities for all ages. The swimming pool is awesome and a great plus when camping with kids. The woods are very thick and filled with amazing trees. Plenty of shaded sites and sunny ones, if you prefer. The place is up on a large mini mountain, this, the reason for the name!

Poorly run, poorly maintained

Place is still attempting improvements. Staff still having turnovers, and St Joseph County Police are periodic responders to problems, since the year round camping invites less than desirable clientele. Amenities (fishing, playground, mini golf) are pitiful. Some lots/campers make the place look like a run down trailer park. Some electric meters not working due to “budget constraints”- which may or may not originate with the main office in Indianapolis.
