Room for large rigs in a couple of spots, beautiful area and very secluded.

Fine for a night when passing through. But it’s free range and lots of cow pies & trash and it’s smelly. Pit toilets are clean, dumpster, tables and fire pits, but for $15 you’re better off somewhere else

Paid$15/night for a site right by the Snake River,#13. Pit toilets and trashcans. Sites have picnic tables and fire rings and are spaced out fairly well. Quiet. Houses are visible on the opposite side of the river. ------>>Don't go in the east entrance due to 11ft bridge over the road.

Uncrowded. Fire pits and bbq. Clean and well stocked Pit toilets. Lots of space between sites. Lake front. Fish jumping. Few bugs. Quiet. Bright lights on the dam. Full LTE service

We camped in the Trout loop and had a great time here. Got here on a Friday afternoon and there were only a few spots left, so I’d recommend going earlier if you can.

We landed a spot right on the water (Snake River). The river here is calm enough to paddle board on. We spent lots of time on the water and even paddled across to some rocks and did a little cliff jumping (they aren’t too high).

There’s an outhouse and it was honestly the cleanest outhouse I’ve ever used. Super impressed with that.

It was warm this time of year and our spot was nice and shady. Would definitely recommend visiting. It’s $15/night

The coordinates given on this campground are WRONG. It takes you down a dirt road to a No Trespassing sign onto private property. Whoever runs this website needs to fix the directions or remove it from the site.

We were the only ones around the night we pulled in. We could let our pup run off leash because of it. The river was filled with migrating birds. Too bad there were 2 houses and some sort of factory farm (?) across the river which kind of spoiled the view.

This is a nice spot to camp right on the Snake river. No shade. Close to town with Walmart. 5 spots. Fire rings and tables. Vault toilet and dumpster. Local hangout. Mostly fishing.

If you don't mind the smell of manure this place is for you! We stayed in the Trout Point area, site 17. There are several camp sites located in this section of the park, most of which are big enough for a fifth wheel or TT. We had no issues with our 17.5 foot trailer. Site 17 has a small "beach" where we could launch our kayaks. Otherwise the shore is rocks and has a steep drop off into the river. There was a vaulted toilet, no other amenities. Fish were jumping all night. There are two entrances to the recreation area, one of which goes under a train trestle (11 feet clearance).  There were a lot of flies, which I guess is to be expected. Minimal amount of mosquitos. While it is BLM, it is $15 for overnight camping.

Once we got here, we enjoyed it! Unfortunately, the coordinates provided are incorrect and took us to the opposite side of the river. We googled the park location and we’re able to get there, but encountered construction on roads and had to take a few detours. We arrived after dark and we’re thankful to find one empty spot! There was construction across the river occurring all night. Yet, besides all that, the spot was sweet by the river and a lot of open space. There was good distance between other spots making it feel private. We would return!

Incredible river views. Secluded in Muskrat Bend section. Lots of birds. Pit toilet clean and well stocked, even at the end of the holiday weekend. Easy access from the interstate. Smelled like cow pasture.

I was first told about this camping spot when I first moved to the area. We went over Father's Day weekend and we were pretty disappointed. The area was clean and being on the river was nice but it was so hot with very little to no shade. We stayed in a tent and it was so hot during the day. I can see this being a great spot for those who are taking their boats out fishing, but if you are just in it for the camping aspect it is pretty boring.

We arrived at this BLM site after dark snd no one else was anywhere in sight (it was mid-December and 20 degrees). We camped in our van by a point on the water on a undeveloped site. In the morning we saw we were across the water from a more developed site with a outhouse, trash bins and picnic table nearby. We had good cell phone coverage with both Verizon and AT&T. This site was a overnight fee of $5 but the fee depot box did not have a lid and had become a bird nest so we could not use it. I imagine this place being well used in warmer months. There are some interpretative trails that show old ruts from the Oregon Trail. Also a shooting range nearby but no one was there. As for wildlife we only saw a little bunny in the morning. The damned section of the Snake River was partially frozen.

Campground and day use area alongside a dammed section of the Snake River about 15 minutes off 84. Frequent pelicans swooping by, giant fish in the water, constant smell of surrounding agriculture. We got in after dark and ended up in a spot across the river and overlooking the actual campgrounds, which looked nice and shaded from afar. Not bad for five bucks!
