Cozy, clean, quiet

My son and I did a quick layover at this campground on our way to a soccer game. I absolutely want to come back. The owners are on site and went way out of their way to make us comfortable. They were very friendly and welcoming and the whole place was just neat as a pin and very cute. Cleanest…

Not surrounded by the city dwellers.

This is a bit from Orofino but it’s far enough away to where you really feel like your out there in nature.

We come to this area every summer around the time of logging sport competitions, and we opted to stay here after a few years of staying closer to town with a not so great camping…

Very scenic area with a spot by the river suitable to sunbathe or have lunch

When my partner and I came to this campground while exploring how far the roads went, we found a camp site that was just right to the road. The roads are not busy but it is a bumpy long drive to this area with 45 mins on gravel roads.

To the left of the campground entrance there is a small hill…

Great price for a group site!

I attended my buddies 30th birthday and it was a really nice place to hang out.

The terrain is complex and exciting to explore with canyons and great viewing points.

There were a lot of people out fishing so I imagine it’s good for a fishing getaway but we did not fish.

My favorite part of…

No camping here!

They used to allow camping but unfortunately it’s not allowed anymore. You can reserve areas for large BBQ’s and such though.

Sleep soundly to the fast flowing river!

I came here with a large group. The river was very fast flowing and would not make a good swimming area.

Listening to the river was amazing.

Convenient stopover spot

Small campground right off the road, easy to drive in and make the loop to check out the sites.  Small hill, but no issues towing our travel trailer out the next morning.  There's a pretty stream alongside, plus a trail that seems to go back for a ways into the valley beyond.  Not much road noise…

Three Rivers Resort in Idaho

So, I’m not sure why “resort” is in the title, this certainly not a resort in the traditional sense. But, this is a great place to stop if headed up the Lochsa River and has something for everyone.

The “resort” has riverfront cabins, double occupancy motel rooms, A frame cabins, RV spots with…

Great private campground off the beaten path

The RV Landing at Carlson Ranch was a well-kept and clean RV park. Easily some of the nicest bathrooms and shower facilities I have experienced. The spots are a little tight but close to the Salmon River. Each site is separated by thick well-groomed grass. Our only complaint was the sprinklers. We…

Well kept little place

Didn’t stay there but the place is always well kept and green!

Stopped once and asked to use dump station and offered payment and still wouldn’t let me dump. It would be a big help for those who boon-dock

Only place coming from Pittsburg Landing that provides hookups

Beautiful

Narrow road. Beautiful park! Great for enjoying the brisk mornings in the fall. I was only there for 1 night and it was pleasant 😊

Clean, nice RV Park

We stayed here one night while on a road trip in Idaho. The park and facilities are extremely clean and have good amenities, like laundry and showers. Sunsets are great from this location! On the highway, but not much road noise. The WiFi and cell service was not the best. I would’ve rated it a…

Absolutely perfect!

We arrived on Wednesday with a reservation and stayed through Sunday morning. The drive from Orofino was a long and winding road along the river and oh so beautiful. The campground was clean, had flush toilets and drinking water, plus a dump station. There were plenty of open spots all weekend.…

Things change

We used to pull horse trailers in there all the time - 20 years ago

We won’t be pulling anything in there again. Gained some plumbing experience due to large “pot holes” that can swallow trailer tires whole.

Forest service has forgotten about the road and let it fall into dismal shape. Would be…

Great Views

You can car camp here at the end of the road before you enter the Gospel Hump Wilderness. If you cross the Wind River Bridge, there are some great hiking opportunities up into the surrounding mountains. There used to be an actual campground here, but much of it has grown up. There are still…
