The campground features spacious sites, many of which offer a nice level of privacy thanks to the trees. Visitors have noted the easy access to the Lochsa River, perfect for some riverside fun or just soaking in the views. You won’t find fancy amenities here, but that’s part of the charm. There are picnic tables and fire rings at each site, making it easy to enjoy a meal outdoors or roast marshmallows under the stars. Keep in mind that there are no showers or drinking water available, so come prepared.
If you’re looking to explore, the campground is right off Highway 12, making it a convenient stop for travelers. While some sites are closer to the road, the sounds of the river often drown out any highway noise. Whether you're just passing through or planning to stay a while, Knife Edge Campground offers a peaceful retreat in the heart of Idaho's stunning landscape.

Located along the breathtaking Wild and Scenic Lochsa River, about fifteen minutes east of Lowell, ID, families, campers, anglers, kayakers, floaters and boaters may enjoy this five unit, two acre, free-use campground and Lochsa river/boat access site. A changing room and a single vault restroom is also provided. The Campground will accomodate 40-ft. RV's.
