Beautiful free spot

This place is gorgeous! We parked our 34 ft motor home right next to a river waterfall and did some fishing. A fire pit was already established. Excellent spot right outside of town with good cell service. Paddle boarding, kayaking, and fishing are primo. Lots of privacy and zero dollars

Very nice campground.

This campground is very nice, I love that it is free to camp here. There are 2 vault toilets that were both clean. There are several nice hiking trails that leave right from the campground. The creek that runs through the campground was very nice.

Fine

We pulled in here after dark and it was a little hard to find a good spot so try to get here early. Plus the road had some major ruts so it wouldn't be suitable for large vehicles. There was a lot of train traffic that did wake us every time one came through so it's also not ideal for light sleepers. However, if you can deal with all that you can't beat the price. 🙂

Beautiful basic camping in Furs and Pines

Beautiful campground set high up in the Caribou National Forest. The campground is around 13 miles up a mountain from Pocatello- it took us roughly 30 minutes driving up curvy mountain roads to get up to the top. Be advised, our gps tried to route us off a dirt road half way up, but you just stay on the paved road all the way up. We got site 20, I’m not sure which loop, as the loops were kind of hard to determine. It was next to bathrooms and across from water and a group campsite which looked like it’d be awesome if you were in a group (site 19.) Beautiful in the pines and furs. You can’t see from the road but many of the tent pads are behind the tables and fire rings. The tent pads aren’t huge- Our tent pad wasn’t big enough for our 6 person REI tent so we pitched right behind our car on the parking pad, which was considerably larger. We were only staying for one night on a Thursday and it was very quiet with only a handful of other campers, but I saw reserve tags on most camp sites in our loop for the weekend. No showers, vault toilets. Drinking water. We tent camp so I didn’t see if there were any electric sites, ours was not. We saw cows, moose, birds and deer on the mountain. Wish we could have stayed an extra night to hike around the area.

Great place

Very nice campground close to lots of trails for hiking and walking. Plenty of trees for shade. Well kept.

Overpriced and incredibly dusty

The whole ground in the campground is covered in rock and dirt. Given that you might think the site was level? Nope.

Also you have literally no space, the sites are right on topic of each other.

Shower house was clean and water was hot! Nice.

Quaint little campground

My wife and I wanted to get off the road after traveling all day. This place is very convenient. Located right off I-15, it sits right upon the Devil Creek Reservoir. This is a full service RV campground, has all the hook ups for electric, water and dumping. Firewood can be had, either buying it for $6.00, or if you walk along the waterfront, there is plenty there too. For $28.00, you cannot go bad. Very quiet and serene, cattle grazing off on the other side of the reservoir. Nice scenery too.

Not for tent campers

Meh. Was clean. There is a kids play ground area. Wifi was garbage. Stayed at the tent site closest to the office/road. Lots of shade, but beware of where you set things up at. Look at the ground and you will see worn or unhealthy grass. This is where apparently the trees drip a sap that isn't all that sticky compared to like pine sap, but it does drip like a faucet… it was noisy, headlights, engines, etc. etc… I wouldn't stay there again, at least not in the same spot and not in a tent.

Very enjoyable and easy to access.

Just like the title suggests. ^-^

Decent little overnight spot

We liked this spot. We were able to hear other campers, but it wasn’t too bad. What you can hear are the trains. I only heard one through the night. For us though, train noise is preferable to hearing a ton of other campers. This location is right on the river, which was beautiful. You will need some sort of mosquito repellent…
