ScoutThis is a great place to camp, we enjoy staying here they also have some tent sites, wifi is a bit spotty which is to be expected since everyone is trying to use it so either use your hotspot or a mobile internet provider and you will be fine, dog park was well kept, playground has plenty of options for the little ones, the splash pad was a hit for our little ones as they enjoyed it, check in was a breeze as the office folks are very informative as to the surrounding place’s you can visit all really at a relatively short drive…your close to your neighbor but not to close “if that makes since”….will definitely stay here again
ScoutCheck in staff very friendly Site 32 - Nice level site. Plenty of room for us. Back in is not straight so it takes alittle bit of maneuvering(that maybe why it was one of the last few sites available a week out). Very close to the lakeshore. Morning and afternoon shade, otherwise pretty direct sun overhead around noon.
The restroom and shower facilities were clean. Plenty of hot water. Gave it 4 stars only because I thought the swim beach could have been more clear of stuff that washed up. Otherwise a great campground. Would definitely stay here again!

GuideGreat campground in the woods lots of shade right on the lake. Our littles loved the beach and all the little rascally squirrels were fun to watch. There was no phone service and no WiFi so unless you bring your own this is a great place to figure out why a weather radio would come in handy! Very peaceful and serene.
GuideFantastic, recently renovated area for camping. Right next to a spring-fed creek, with a camp host and ranger keeping people in check and safe. Toilets only and no hookups. No generators at night (yeay!) Great to test dry camping for newbies.
Scout80 spaces for large RVs at $46 a night. Kayaking is one of the main activities. Kayak rentals and sales. Friendly staff. Bath house, nice and clean and adequate but definitely needs and upgrade.
GuideVery safe campground. I grew up camping here with my dad. When I had my oldest son, I would take him camping here, just me and him. I've camped at this campground several times as a single mom and never had problems. The campground entrance is 10 miles on the right off the Redbud Rd exit. Only con is not a lot of shade in the campsites.

GuideMy wife and I stayed for three nights mid-week. Site 93 is a "premium" site and the view was certainly that. Instead of looking at other sites, we were looking into a wooded valley.
I hiked the Iron Hill Trail which was wide and surfaced with nice gravel. No bicyclists while I was walking, though they are permitted on that trail. Great views of the woods and lake.
The site was clean. Utilities worked. The dump station was clean but unfortunately does not have a threaded connection for a water host so I could not back-flush the tanks.
