Lovely little COE campground

Loved this little campground. Roads are narrow and asphalt sites are narrow. But beautiful views of the lake. Could hear a train but no highway/interstate noise at our waterfront site #47. I thought #48 was a great site as well. We were the only ones back there on that loop (which is at the back of the campground. Was fun watching the boaters and skiers. Biting Bugs were minimal which surprised me. Cicadas and katydids were in full chorus!

Just Beautiful

This was my first time camping at this camp site, I chose a spot off their map and let me tell you, it exceeded my expectations, just beautiful, enough privacy between campers but not so secluded for a solo camper, the employees were nice the bathrooms an showers were clean, I will definitely be back in summer or fall when there is no pollen lol!

Visiting Georgia

This is a great campground, close to town and the lake view is amazing. There’s enough space and privacy between camp sites. Clean comfortable picnic area with table and fire pit. It’s just a beautiful place to camp.

Horrible Experience

Campsite was flooded when we got there, there was trash all along the area going down to the lake and the bathrooms/showers were DISGUSTING! Employees were very rude.

Relaxing

We really liked the campground. One section of the campground was too close to the highway, which made you hear cars passing all night, but sites 32 and up were very peaceful and quiet. There were a few people with noisy trucks driving up and down the road, but besides that it was a great trip. If you don’t mind the noise, I really recommend it!

Noisy

Old Hwy 41 No 3 Campground is a COE campground on Lake Allatoona, about an hour North of Atlanta. The campground is only open May till September. There are about 50 sites, most had water and 30/50 amp electricity, a few with sewer. There are some lake front sites that appear larger, and are more expensive. Basic water/electric sites are $28/night, full hook-ups are $36, Lakefront are $64/night. Fire rings, picnic tables are provided, a playground and a bathroom/shower building. There is a laundry room, Also a dump station. They only allow 2 pets per site. This is a boating/fishing campground so there is a boat ramp. It is close to I-75 and US 41, but it is in the woods, so some of the highway noise is muffled, only some! There is also an entrance station which provides some security! The gate is open from 7 AM until 10:30 PM. NO ONE gets in after hours!

Perfect Getaway

Clean, good sites, some good water views. Bathhouse could use a little updating, but it’s not a huge ordeal. Wished they had FHU.

Great little campground on the lake

We stayed in the double site with 2 campers and a couple tents. Plenty of room for everyone. Good fishing, plenty of wildlife, relatively quiet part of the lake.

Campground hosts were very friendly and helpful!

It's ok

This place is nice overall. Lots of sites are water front, that's a plus. But it is so close to i75 that the sound of traffic is constant; during the day is manageable but at night it makes it hard to sleep if you are in a tent and are a silent sleeper. There's a boat ramp on site and another one across the lake, this makes the lake area around quite busy. My site (23) had water, electricity, grill, firepit, & a table. The showers & toilets on premises were clean.
