Have stayed here multiple times and have never had a bad experience. Quiet and clean
While most of my camping trip was spent at camp Daniel Morgan, I did stay a night at the public campground. The facilities were excellent. The bathrooms were extremely clean. The neighbors were polite and quiet. Great overall experience.
We were able to get a last minute spot during Labor Day. It was packed. Spacing is nice. Facilities are clean and staff is friendly.
Beautiful lake views, RV sites with patios and bbqs. Fishing, boat ramp, pool, charming train theme. You can even sleep overnight in a train car cabin. Not great cell reception, and wifi seems to only work in the front portion of the park, but the back is where the great views are.
Awesome campground located about 15min off of I-20.
Fantastic golf course that I didn't get to play unfortunately.
We stayed at the "buddy site" with our 37' Mallard and my Father-in-law's Winnebago. Though the layout of the site didn't quite make sense, the kids and dogs loved having everyone…
My wife and i did the walk in tent camping. We had a nice, relatively secluded spot. This area of Lake Lanier is pretty quiet. Great fit kayaking or paddle boarding.
We arrived in the afternoon on a Friday at spot 59 with reservations via Reserve America. We checked in with Terry & Mike the camp hosts located on spot 1. They are very personable and helpful. On Saturday morning, the visitors center is about a mile from the campground, we took a morning…

There weren't many places available or so we were told cause when we went in to look around there seemed to be plenty
Beautiful looking park. Didn't stay long enough to actually enjoy it. Dirty bathrooms lots of trash scattered throughout the woods near the tent sites. We've stayed at cleaner campsites for cheaper. The staff struggled to understand walk-ins - your stay will be much easier if you plan a week or…
Stayed in site #253. Ok campground. Sites are small and uneven. Premium price but not premium site. Our site was on loop with a lot of shade. Camp has mostly full hookups including cable. Pool at campground and store. Yurts, rental campers, premium tents are also available. Lots of activities in…

Nicest state park cabin I’ve never stayed in! The furnishings were beautiful and the screened porch was amazing. I really appreciated that the bedding and towels were plush and extremely comfortable-very unlike most state parks or other rental cabins. It was also impeccably clean, AND the…

Well we stayed 5 days in the orange loop and that had better phone reception with less trees 🌳. That loop was more crowded and busier near the tents. The last 5 days we were in the lime green loop, which is near the laundry and it was much quieter, less traffic and more shaded. However less phone…
You can spend a weekend a stone's throw from the swimming area. It was a nice little camping area. Very clean.
This trip was a stop along our way to Florida from Connecticut, we spent 2 days here, the grounds we amazing, great place for kids, the hike up stone mountain was memorable for the whole family... we would definitely recommend this place for families who love to hike.... we would change nothing…
Nice and quiet, large location with many sites. More expensive than most but full hookups. Some sites are kind of rough. Depending on the road you take in watch for a low train bridge that appears tall but the road goes up on the other side and it will get you.
