Claystone Park, a county-managed recreation area on Lake Tobesofkee outside Macon, Georgia, includes Arrowhead as one of its campgrounds alongside sister facilities at Clovis Point - Arrowhead Park Lake Tobesofkee and Arrowhead Park. The campground sits in open terrain with 58 sites, a mix of tent spots, back-in pads, and pull-throughs, most carrying full hookups with 20/30/50 amp electric, water, and limited sewer connections. RVs up to 75 feet can be accommodated. Two bathhouses with coin-operated laundry serve the campground.
Lake views are a recurring point in reviews. Several sites face the water directly, and reviewers consistently mention unobstructed sightlines toward the lake from their pads. "Campground was quiet and clean," notes Greg S., who also found the bathrooms close and well-maintained. One reviewer noted the lake view from site 28 specifically. Quiet hours are observed, and the campground rarely feels overwhelmed, though a few visitors mention it can draw crowds during warmer months.
The park gives campers access to a sand beach, boat ramps, a disc golf course, fishing on Lake Tobesofkee, water sports, and a mountain bike trail. The swimming beach is accessible and clean, though at least one reviewer noted the lake water quality is variable. Paddleboarding and boating are common activities. Staff have a reputation for being accommodating, including working with guests on extended stays when circumstances require it.
Road access draws a note of caution. The campground carries a rough access warning, so drivers towing larger rigs should factor that in when planning arrival. Reservations are available and recommended, particularly for summer weekends. Rates run $27 to $30 per night. Campers exploring campgrounds near Lizella will find this one of the more fully developed options in the area, with hookups and lake access in a single location. Booking ahead for peak season is the most reliable way to secure a lakeside site.
