Our campsite is less than 10 minutes by car from Clemson University (www.clemson.edu/cef). Located in the woods overlooking the Clemson Experimental Forest. As you drive up the gravel driveway, you'll pass the family mobile home (our daughter & son attend Clemson Univ) and park in the field. Walk just 30 feet into the woods and you are at the campsite.   

You are 5 1/2 minutes by car to Starbucks and Waffle House. Only 8 1/2 minutes to Clemson University's Bowman Field.

Just 3 1/2 minutes away by car, the Twelve Mile Recreation Area on Lake Hartwell is a great place for picnics, boating, swimming, fishing, etc. Spend the day hiking at many nearby locations...


The Space:
Secluded campsite right on the edge of the Clemson Experimental Forest. A great home-base for the dozens of trails that run thru-out. Only two hours from Atlanta, GA and two hours from Charlotte, NC.

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! 

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. 

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. 

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

What you should bring:
-S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat
-A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling 
-Bedding and pillows
-Lanterns and lighting 
-Firewood for the campfire

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location.

If a Tentrr Host submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the host's property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your reservation confirmation on Airbnb. Your Tentrr Host is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable). The site presently offers camping and boat-launching facilities including 1 gatehouse/entrance, 2 park attendant campsites, 70 public use camp sites with full water and electric hookups, 5 comfort stations (3 with showers), 1 dump station, 1 boat ramp, 1 courtesy dock, 2 playgrounds, 1 designated swim area/beach, and associated paved roads and parking areas throughout. Recreation Fishing is one of the most popular activities at the lake. Sought-after species include largemouth bass, bream, crappie, catfish, striped bass and hybrid bass. The lake appeals to boaters of all kinds, whether their specialty is canoeing, sailing or motor boating. Coves and areas of quiet water provide water skiers with excellent surfaces. Swimmers will find sand beaches and designated swim areas along the shoreline. Natural Features Hartwell Lake is a man-made lake bordering Georgia and South Carolina on the Savannah, Tugaloo and Seneca Rivers. The Hartwell Project was originally authorized for hydro-power, flood control, and navigation. Later, recreation, water quality, water supply and fish and wildlife management were added. Surrounding vegetation allows for plenty of shade, and the 962 miles of shoreline provide numerous swimming beaches, picnic areas and boat ramps. Nearby Attractions Oconee Point is a short drive away from Clemson, South Carolina and Clemson University, offering additional tourism opportunities, along with grocery stores, gas stations and restaurants. Coneross Campground is located on the Seneca River arm of the northern end of Hartwell Lake in South Carolina. Spanning parts of South Carolina and Georgia, Hartwell Lake is one of the Southeast's largest and most visited public recreation lakes. It comprises nearly 56,000 acres of water and has a shoreline of 962 miles. Natural Features: The lake shore is thickly forested with mostly pine, and the lake itself is large with many inlets and coves to explore. Numerous species of birds call this area home, including waterfowl, shorebirds, woodland birds, and even the occasional peregrine falcon and bald eagle. Recreation: Fishing is one of the most popular activities at the lake. Sought-after species include largemouth bass, bream, crappie, catfish, striped bass, and hybrid bass. The lake appeals to boaters of all kinds, whether their specialty is canoeing, sailing, or motor boating. Coves and areas of quiet water provide water skiers with excellent surfaces. Facilities: Coneross boasts sweeping views of Hartwell Lake. This campground has a total of 105 sites, most of which have water and electric hookups. Twelve are non-hookup, primitive sites.
