229 ft long covered bridge you can drive through (height and weight restrictions). Sites have power and water, dump station is available. Shower house with laundry. Hiking and bike trails. Shadey and quiet. Wade in the river below the bridge but careful, the rocks are slick.
First off the hospitality here is next level, the staff here goes above and beyond, from check in, through the end of your stay.. this was our first camping trip.. the campground itself is very well taken care of, all sites have 30/50 electrical, water and sewer, cell service was great, nice pool, game/tv room, office was well stocked from firewood,rv supplies, propane fill station.. they had hay rides for anyone interested, s’mores at the fire pit, bean bag toss, horseshoes, nice playground for the kids. Sites were really tight gravel pads, with a fire ring.. Helen is a couple mile ride. It was a fun time
My whole family has camped here on and off over the past 40 years. Allatoona is our go to Lake and this is a small, quiet, clean campground. The hosts are friendly and sites are kept clean.
By far one of the prettiest campground our state has to offer. With tons of hiking trail, a gorgeous lake , paved roads and sparkling clean facilities. We have camped several times , in the camper and tent.
Red Top is a great local campground on Lake Allatoona. It has plenty of sites although a lot of the water front are tent only. The bath houses are updated and clean. Makes for a great weekend trip.
We absolutely loved this campground. Lots of trails and great creek swimming spots for the dogs. We are planning a trip back late summer so we can enjoy the water. Sites are well maintained and level for my camper. The tent sites and amazing and I may leave my camper home next time.
Pretty campground. Very private yet close to 75. Right on Lake Alatoona. Lots to do in Cartersville and Acworth. Recommend. Enjoy!!
This is a great campground, tons of spots of various sizes that should accommodate any rig. Clean bathrooms, showers, friendly staff. Patrolled by ranger regularly, access is restricted at night. Plenty of water access for canoes and boats. Really nice campground- recommend!!
First time here, but already in love with this place, campsite we are in literally a few feet from the water, nice room in between sites. Bath houses are super clean. The campground is maintained very well , my only complaint would be there are several fallen trees that need cleaned up, some are taking away the scenery at certain sites. Town is not far, cell service on Verizon is 2 bars at best. Campsite has concrete level pad, water, 30/50 amp service, grill, lantern pole and fire ring
Have waited six months into our RV life to start reviews for fair comparisons. Spent 7 nights. The weekend nights were so crowded with cars spilling into the camp roads, loads of large groups at each site. Felt very claustrophobic. On weekdays the park became a(lovely) ghost town. Very hilly within the campground but wide roads. Deer walking through the site. Good water views and hiking. Mountain biking a few miles down the road.
