Shady Grove Campground is located on the shores of Lake Sydney Lanier in Forsyth County, Georgia just 40 miles north of Atlanta. The campground is situated on approximately 100 wooded acres and many sites have tranquil lake views.

Shady Grove Campground Rules
- Alcoholic beverages and Intoxicants are prohibited.
- All campers and visitors must register at the campground office upon arrival. All vehicles require a vehicle pass. All campers and visitors must obtain a vehicle pass at the office.
- The campground has an automated gate that requires an access code to enter. Codes are assigned at check-in.
- ADA designated campsites may only be reserved and occupied by a party who can provide proof of disability upon arrival. Proof of disability will be required in the form of a DMV issued person with disabilities placard or disabilities motor vehicle license plate. The eligible member must be an occupant of the site for the entire reserved period. Failure to comply with these requirements will result in the cancellation of your reservation and forfeiture of your reservation fee.
- Campsite Occupancy is limited to a maximum of eight (8) people and three (3) vehicles. One camper trailer or motor home is allowed per site.
- All tents must be placed on the designated impact area. No more than 2 tents per site.
- Visitors of registered campers must depart the campground by 9:30 p.m. or when the camper checks out prior to this time.
- Checkout time is 1:00 p.m. Late departures will be charged for an additional night.
- Check in time is 3:00 p.m.
- Length of stay is no longer than 14 days during any 30 consecutive day period.
- Only adults (18 years or older) may rent a camp site. Minors may not be left in the campground without adult supervision.
- Motorized Vehicles operated by visitors in the park must have a license tag and be operated by licensed drivers. Vehicles may not be operated or parked off the roadway. Golf Carts and Hover Boards are not permitted.
- Garbage should be deposited at the dumpsters.
- The discharge of grey or black water (sewage) is prohibited. Please use the dump station.
- Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. Unreasonable or excessive noise at any time is prohibited.
- Pets must be kept on a leash not exceeding 10 feet in length. Pets are not allowed in restrooms, playground areas, shelters or designated swim areas.
- Fires must be confined in a designated fire ring or grill. Only dead wood on the ground may be collected for firewood. No chainsaws can be used.
- No Shows: A campsite will be held for you until 12 p.m. the day after your arrival date. If you have not called the park before that time, you will be considered a "no show" and the park will cancel your reservation. You will be refunded the amount paid for the campsite, minus one night use fee. If you miss your first day but plan to arrive later, you must call the park each day to hold the remainder of your reservation.
- Day using is prohibited. Registered campers must occupy their site overnight. Registered campers must set up camping equipment (tent, trailer, RV).
- Creating multiple user IDs to bypass the 14-day rule is not acceptable.
