Management is a nightmare for long term. Save your trouble and go elsewhere

We sold our house in West Palm Beach and relocated to Vero Beach for work, choosing to stay in our RV at this park while awaiting our new home to be built. Initially, we were excited, but the management at this park turned out to be a nightmare. Despite the reasonable and straightforward rules, we faced constant harassment. We have two dogs that we walk multiple times a day. There are no trash cans or doggy bags on the property except in the dog park, so we took the initiative to buy an outdoor trash can and a bulk supply of dog waste bags to ensure we cleaned up after our pets. Yet, we received weekly notices accusing us of not cleaning up after our dogs. Each time I went to the main office to discuss these notices, I was told to“just ignore it” as it was likely a“pesty neighbor.” Additionally, when family visited us for the day and parked at our RV slot, we received notices about parking violations. After discussing this with the office, we were advised to have our visitors park in the lot by the restaurant, which we did. Despite this, we continued to receive notices for various infractions, such as improper water hookup and not stopping completely in the neighborhood. This felt like borderline harassment. As responsible adults who strive to follow regulations, we were perplexed and frustrated by these continuous and unfounded accusations. Each time we sought clarification from the office, they dismissed our concerns, blaming"nosey neighbors" and suggesting neighborly disputes were at play. Ultimately, we were given a 30-day notice to vacate the property. This experience is particularly disappointing because we had suggested this park for our upcoming family reunion, which would have brought 47 rentals for a week. Now, I can't wait to leave this place. For anyone considering a short-term stay, this park may suffice. However, I strongly advise against bringing pets unless you want to be harassed and falsely accused. For those seeking a long-term rental, avoid this park at all costs, as you will face weekly harassment. Furthermore, we had several packages confirmed as delivered to the“receptionist/front desk,” which mysteriously went missing, apparently mishandled by the staff. Our initial excitement to be part of the Road Runner community has completely dissipated. I am eager to leave and will never return. I do not recommend this park and will be warning others. 0/10.---

So many ways to access the water! Pleasant experience all around!

Sebastian Inlet State Park near Melbourne, FL.  We stayed for stopovers on way down and back from Miami area.  Most campsites do not have water views but are just a short stroll away. Most sites have limited privacy but some have more vegetation buffer. The campgrounds were quiet, clean and pleasant. With a Northern and Southern section, this park offers several access points to the ocean beach, the inlet itself and the River.  We were delighted to stroll the long beaches and watch the surfers, watch fishermen in the river in the morning and evening, and watch the many pelicans feeding from the bridge structure over the river.  The swimming area behind the jetty on the north side creates an almost man-made tide pool which is perfect for swimming and for younger children to play in the shallows without waves or currents.  We hope we can get reservations again!

      Split Personality

This campground has a split personality. The west side has nice wide concrete sites, the east side is on dirt and gravel and not so nice. When I made my reservation I missed the pick your site($30 add on?), but given the difference between the two sides, it would have been worth it. This is definitely a KOA Journey, hookups work, good for a night or two, but not a destination. I didn't think it is quite as close to the Space Center as described.

Some long term residents, many on the east side, and the roads aren't very wide. The gentleman who escorted us to our site took us off the road and out into the grass to get around a tree to make the turn workable. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful.

Oh, if you look at this campground on Google's satellite view, be aware that there is a different campground that wraps the KOA on the west, and south. If you see tennis courts, you're looking at the wrong campground.

Given the history of this area I had high expectations. If you get one of the nice new sites, then I think it's worthwhile, otherwise this is one of the few KOAs that I don't think I will recommend for more than a night maybe two.

      Isolated but fun

Tons to do on property including little stores, bbq restaurant, pizza, ice cream etc. Horseback riding, petting zoo, rock climbing. BUT, my only complaint is the noise level of the area. Lots of boat noise, gas golf carts (big property) & it just happened that my neighbors loved their gas blowers & pressure washing lol. Lots of great sites to choose from. Nice staff. Pet friendly.

      Showing wear

This is another KOA on our extended road trip around Florida. This one is a little older, and shows wear, but they are doing some construction, rebuilding some of the sites. The internet was hit or miss, mostly miss! The bathroom/showroom is dated, but adequate. It reminded me of a high school shower room. There is a small office/store with basics. Also a pool and laundry (most of the washers were out of order) Some of the roads are rough, and a few sites don’t look like they are useable. We were here in late October, between the summer family crowds and the winter Snowbirds. They do have long term rates for Snowbirds. It’s about 20 minutes from a manatee rehabilitation park, and also a manatee overlook pier. It is 30 minutes from Cape Kennedy and the NASA Space Center.

      Great Customer Service and Location!

We've had the pleasure of staying at both site 185 and 11, and our experience was delightful with both choices! The front office staff consistently exudes helpfulness and politeness. Each site is equipped with water hookups, electric connections, and sewage facilities. What's impressive is that these amenities are available on every site, setting them apart as the most competitively priced campground in the vicinity—my thorough research of other options confirms this. Notably, JOY RV offers the flexibility of both short-term and long-term stays, a versatility that distinguishes them from neighboring campgrounds. On top of that, they provide onsite storage options, complimentary wifi, a refreshing pool, impeccably maintained showers and restrooms, and a convenient laundry facility. For those requiring a peaceful environment to focus on tasks like schoolwork or professional assignments, the spacious and tranquil clubhouse proves to be a valuable asset—I, personally, take full advantage of this convenience. The campground enjoys a strategic location with a nearby Sam's Club for shopping convenience. Plus, its direct access to the interstate simplifies travel to Melbourne(approximately 30 minutes away), Daytona Beach(roughly an hour's drive), and even Orlando(merely 45 minutes away). It's undeniable that this location is prime. In our quest for the perfect camping spot, stumbling upon JOY RV was a stroke of luck. Without reservation, we wholeheartedly endorse it to fellow travelers seeking a phenomenal experience.

Probably the worst I’ve been to.

We only started one night, thank god bc we would have left early. Long term residents made it not so private and made us quite uncomfortable for our family about d the campground and pool. Cabin faced the long term residents as well and was right in front of the dump station. Just uncomfortable feeling. I am so thankful that we decided not to tent, we would have never slept with the speeding, loud trucks on the highway. We could hear all of it through the walls of the cabin. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else 😬😬😬😬 Front desk woman was the only thing that was nice.

      Wonderful Park

We discovered this place on a vacation trip to see a friend on Hutchinson Island in Fort Pierce FL. We are now camping here seasonally in a 35 ft Class A RV. There's a large pool, a good-sized general / convenience store with all the essentials you might need, and a full restaurant right on site. The RV sites vary in size and set-up, most are level, most have a concrete patio. most have full hook-ups. There are also a number of "villas" (short, single-wide manufactured homes) that people either rent for an extended stay, or own, interspersed throughout the park. Many people live here year-round, and even more live here for three or six months during winter. There are 3 rustic cabins and a few spaces for tents. While this is billed as a "family" resort, most of the longer-term campers are retired, or "digital nomads" that work remotely. There are a few families with kids, and a few people like us who don't have children but are younger than retirement age. It's a good mix. There are adult activities - Bingo, karaoke, jam sessions, trivia night, pickleball, tennis, shuffleboard, Pentaque, cornhole, basketball, crafts (for adults), and more. Short stays are not cheap, but longer stays are pretty affordable considering the great pool and all there is to do. Oh, there are fireplaces at the premium pull-through sites, fires are allowed on regular sites only in a raised, enclosed firepit. There is also community firepit. We love it here.

Such a beautiful park! Many full timers. They book for next winter beginning in March every year. Simple sites, paved sites, sites with tables, concrete pads, cabins, group sites, communal fire places. This park has it all. Did I mention the store, restaurant, bingo nights, swimming pool, shuffleboard, pickle ball all courts, and karaoke nights?

      Vero Beach, FL….Odd configuration

The campground was clean. Our site had pavers that were in disrepair and could be a tripping hazard. The sites were roomy for our 42’ 5th wheel. Pool area appeared to be well maintained as well as the laundry. The machines required a card instead of coins. At $1.75 it was reasonable compared to other places. The configuration of the park in relation to the full time residents was odd. The campers were placed randomly in between the full time residents. We had plenty of room but we were wedged in pretty tight with the full time residents. It was ok but just have never been situated like this. You had to purchase the Wi-Fi. Don’t bother. We paid $20 for the wk and had absolutely no internet. There was a number to call and we did call them. It was a huge deal and only got one device working. They did have a huge dog park but the path to walk your dog I would never use as it had a lot of debris.

Stayed for the night to watch the SpaceX rocket launch. Great view as soon as it cleared the trees. Trees on-site have some beautiful Spanish moss. Bathroom was a little bit unkempt. Showers a little claustrophobic. Paved roads are extremely narrow, can’t see a big RV being able to navigate in and out. Would stay again just for the views!
