A short walk from the Cypress Boardwalk Trailhead, Loop 4 sits within Dupuis Reserve in Canal Point, Florida, managed by the South Florida Water Management District at no cost. The site is large enough to accommodate groups well over 30 people, with two picnic tables, firepits, and a hand pump for water. Note that the pump has been reported to produce water with a sulfur smell and purple tinge, so bringing a filter or extra water is worth considering. Shade trees make hammock camping practical. Cell signal is occasional. The campground sits on the Ocean to Lake Hiking Trail, so expect through-hikers to pass. Backpackers and group campers looking for camping near Canal Point will find this a functional, no-cost base.
