Very nice lady called prior to our arrival to ask if she could charge our card so she could prepare the packet. When we arrived it was all ready and maybe took 5 minutes. Didn’t use baths or laundry. Park was clean, plenty of length for our 42’ 5th wheel and truck. Hookups were in good spots. The sites are very narrow and pretty close to fellow campers but it was all good.
The office never seemed to be open. We needed propane upon leaving but couldn’t find anyone. Sites are small, not level and in need of some upkeep. The hookups were poorly placed and the electric hookup was loose. When we plugged in it recessed back into the unit and difficult to plug into. They were to pick up trash at 11 but by putting it b/4 11 I always seemed to miss it.
Don’t go!!!! The person said it was a vaca must have stayed in some pretty bad campgrounds. The sites have crumbled asphalt so hard to find sold place for jacks. We pd for sewer but didn’t get it. Roads were tight with lots of trees and set up on circles. Two older gentleman on a golf cart said they just purchased it 5 days ago. Based upon prior comments and pictures I don’t believe that to be true. You come in on a frontage road with a switch back right by the turn into parking area. The left turn into the park is like a tight u-turn in which there is a huge ditch or drop off that you can’t make without the rear of the RV dropping into this ditch. The campground sits a bit below the frontage road. To compound issues not only can you not make that turn without the back of the camper in this ditch and ripping off the jacks and other components in the rear, there is a sizable crest on frontage road so while our 42’ 5th wheel was sitting on the road we were hoping nobody came flying down that hill and be not able to stop. It was suggested by a guy waiting for us on the switch back to get out of his way to back up and go up the switch back and come in from the other side. It worked but that’s dangerous and needs to be taken care of immediately. Laundry room was ok and reasonable.
They don’t really have an office. It’s an odd arrangement. I had picked site 11 but she said we’d wouldn’t fit. When going on line it asks what type and length your RV is so I thought any would fit since it didn’t say otherwise. But she put us in a larger site. It was fairly easy getting into the site. Early evening another 5th wheel pulled in next to us so made it pretty tight. We had only a few inches from each others slides. They are tight spots. There was no place to really park our truck so my husband parked part of it under the front of the camper in order to stay off the grass. Later we had a knock at the door and she said he had to move the truck as it was in the way of traffic coming in the park. Only place to park it was in the site next to us that was already utilized but it was a van type camper. Not sure where we would have parked if it had been filled with a regular sized RV. Our camper is 42’ and it took up the entire space. The people next to us had a car behind their 5th wheel and a small trailer attached to it. Both stuck out in the road behind us. If you don’t have the room to accommodate a 42’ 5th wheel that you know will have a truck with it then don’t take one that large!!! When we left this morning there were a lot of campers there and a few vehicles parked along the street. We had no issues pulling out of the site.
This campground is lovely. Spacious, clean, well maintained, quiet with beautiful view of the lake. Everything is marked clearly, check-in was a breeze. Easy to get to and ours was a back in site. Super easy to park and hookups we’re very accessible. Just couldn’t have been happier.
We arrived at 3 pm on a Friday and stayed 2 night. Have yet to see any employees. Our paperwork was ready and on the board in the front of the building. Sites are roomy, however the roads and sites could use updating. They go from paved to gravel. The laundry room had 3 washers with only 1 working. 2 dryers with only 1 working. We stopped twice for propane but the office door was always locked. They do have a playground for kids and a cute teepee. A small dog park. There was absolutely nothing level on any of these sites.
We came in at 10 pm in search for our site. It’s about a 1/2 mile from the main road. It’s a big place we noticed at daylight. Nice playground, appears they have some cabins to be rented, some sites were on the water, very clean and maintained. 40 miles from Greenwood, In. Sites are large and easy to maneuver our 42’ 5th wheel. Our site had full hookup, flat ground so easy setup. The only cos are- while the campground sign can be seen from the main road on the way in- it all disappears in the dark after you turn onto the road. It’s needs to be marked better. Had there been arrows or signs it would have made it SO much easier. Day or night. We felt our way to the office since there were a few roads going in opposite directions. The girl said she’d leave our paperwork at the office. No paperwork or maps. This little road is quite narrow, has some pretty tight turns with trees on both sides and in the night it’s hard to tell where the rear end of your camper is on the turns where there are trees close to the road, if it’s a long one like ours. So needing to back up would literally be a nightmare. We drove down this little road quite a while unsure if we were heading in the right direction for the office. An office sign finally appeared like a beacon in the night about 3/4 mile off the main road- but at that point if we would have been incorrect it would have been a long way to back up our 42’ in the dark on these little roads. A lot of campgrounds make this mistake. They don’t plan on people coming in at night into a strange campground. There were several roads leading in different directions and it was hard to tell which one was the “main” road had there been directionals showing which road went to which sites would have been helpful. Site numbers were hard to see unless you walked up to each site with a flashlight. Not sure why campgrounds make their site numbers so allusive. Either they aren’t marked at all, they’re so small you can hardly see them or there is no rhyme or reason as to where they put them. Consistency would be great!!!!! It was just very difficult to navigate in a strange campground in the dark. Like many I’m sure we ended up just walking in front of the truck with a flashlight to be able to see the numbers. We avoid setting up in the dark at all costs because it’s absolutely the worst but sometimes you just get caught for various reasons- and there should be a better way.
No septic which we knew going in- they tried to centrally locate the water hookup but it was on the opposite of the camper from the electrical hookup which made it difficult to reach. Other than that we’d stay again!
Fairly new park and was very clean. Nice large sites as we have a 42’ 5th wheel. None of the sites were marked. They had lots of tiny houses that had names but not the RV sites. It’s a very small park and maybe they feel they don’t need signs but it’s always nice to make sure you’re in the right site. The campground has no laundry, showers or bathroom, no pool, no dog park. They provide you a site with full hookup and that’s it. Thought it was s bit pricy for what we received. Might put on a pressure valve as the water pressure was pretty high. Fairly close to town and easy to find.
We wanted to stay for 57 days. If clearly states there are no amenities yet the price remains at $75 a day. No break with monthly rates. Ridiculous!
We stayed here to pick up a new RV. It’s a huge campground with lots of space. Some sites are cement ours was gravel. Very clean, nice sized dog park, quiet and close to restaurants. If had an occasion to stay here again…we definitely would!
Lovely park a with lots of trees and green grass. Site hookups we’re all good. Space was long and wide for our 42’ 5th wheel. Only reason I gave it 4 stars was I really needed to do laundry and it was out of service. I think they are in the process of updating as they just redid the bathroom floors and she indicated that the new appliances hadn’t come in yet for the laundry room.
Would stay again if in area. Gentleman who took us to site was very nice. Helped us get utilities set up. Oklahoma had some weather and he showed us where the tornado shelter was located. The only constructive criticism I have is- the office is not marked well. We passed it and drove into the park. He was quick to get to us but it would have been easier on everyone if it was marked well.
If I was in area would stay again. Easy to get to and they take you to your site. Our 42’ 5th wheel snuggled in nicely. Sites have a large patio with chairs, table, gas grill and one for a wood fire. Each site is nicely landscaped. It’s quiet except for a bit of road noise but certainly nothing to complain about. You can still hear the sounds of nature. It’s very clean, lovely staff and gentleman that takes you to your site was very friendly and welcoming. They do have a laundry but didn’t use it. Our 2 dogs had a great time in the dog park which was really close. Highly recommend!!
Chris the owner had some bad reviews but honestly he couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. Sometimes when I see bad reviews of management I kinda think maybe the reviewer did something that made the management get to that point. They do own the park and it’s their rules!!!!! We had a very easy site to pull into, no septic but we knew that coming in- they do have a dump station. They have a nice clean dog park that mine loved. It’s laid out well, plenty of room and a restaurant that delivers to your camper. What more can you ask for? We loved everything about it. We were over nighters but it would be a great place for a stay with some R &R. Thumbs up!
Very cute place. Sites have cement patios, there are colorful bushes that separate the sites. Fit our 42’ 5th wheel perfect. Nice pool and very clean and friendly park.
As it is everywhere in CA it’s crowded. The 8 freeway runs behind it so it’s extremely noisy at all hours . Never saw anyone to talk with. Lots of full time people and some have more than 1 vehicle. They don’t encroach on your space but you start out with very little room. The sites are concrete with a brick patio. If you have a pull through you get a grill. We had a pull through but no room with parked cars to get our 42’ 5th wheel in- so we backed it in and it fit nicely. It’s a clean park and has a nice pool and laundry room. It’s extremely expensive to do laundry at $5 a pop for both w&d. No coins use a credit or debit card. I had a washer that after I put money in didn’t work. Normally I’d just let it go but at $5- not so much! Roads are very narrow. People in office were very nice. It is gated so you need a code to get in.
Everyone was happy and friendly. Lots of residents but very clean and everyone has flowers. There’s SO much to do here. The pool is very nice and can get crowded. Laundry room is nice sized but change machine was out of order. Nice dog park, pickle ball court. They take you to your site which is always nice. Wish all parks did that. Sites were huge. Nice patio and big space to park your vehicle. It’s a beautiful park. Would stay again if in the area.
It started right off the bat. I went into an extremely noisy office and saw 2 women and told them I had a reservation. She looked up our name and said she had no reservation. My worst fear!!!! We’ve traveled for 19 mo and never had this happen. So let me take you back to my initial phone call. I called on 2/3 at 2:02 pm which call lasted 6 minutes. I spoke to a woman that was very friendly and kinda laughing throughout the call because it was soo noisy. She had to ask me to repeat things several times. I had her on speaker as we were in the truck. My husband also heard the conversation. She ask me a list of questions- one of which was my drivers lic # and my date of birth. My husband replied “really?” I had my credit card in my hand ready to give her the information. She finished asking questions and said ok you’re all set we’ll see you Monday which was 2/6. I thought it was odd she didn’t ask for my card information. She said she’d send me an email confirmation. Our Email address is is hard to understand over the phone and with it being so noisy I thought it unlikely she got the email right. I always snap a pic with my iPhone of the website right after I make the reservations just in case I don’t get the email so we have the name of the campground and address. I have a large desk top calendar that I put the park name in on the appropriate date and the phone #. Do you can imagine my frustration when she said she didn’t have the reservation. She tried to tell me that I called the wrong park that they would have never made s reservation because they were full. She tried to blame it on the camp host but when I gave her the time I called she would have been there. She said well we would have asked you all the questions on this sheet of paper and showed it to me. I saw the question with the drivers lic # and date of birth. I said yes! I was asked those questions. My husband was shocked you ask for a driver’s license AND date of birth. I explained my process when I get a confirmed reservation. I said here’s the screenshot of the web page. She said well that’s our website. I said YES I just said that!!!!! Is this your phone number. I gave her the number off my phone. She said yes it was their number. But could I have spoken to someone else. I said well your number is in between two campground in Chino CA so NO. Well did you maybe tell them you couldn’t talk then or you wanted to wait to confirm it? I said NO I had the debit card in my hand ready to give you the info. I was surprised you didn’t ask for it. Well did you get a confirmation because we would have sent you a confirmation. Again I explained about how the email gets misconstrued and i sometimes don’t get confirmation because they get the email wrong. That’s why I’m so mythological about the information after I make reservations. She said all she had was a 27’ site available how long was our camper? I said 42’. She said we’ve just never had anything like this happen. I said well quite frankly neither have we. Well we do have an emergency site for situations like this. It might be tight. We looked at it and it was fine and even close to the pool and dog park. So perfect site. A gentleman helped us get parked and we were good to go. We left for dinner and when we came back it was dark and gated we’re closed. Do they do have the sand guy doing security. So he came out of his booth and ask us if the office gave us a gate code. I said nope! So he gave me the code and we were able to get in finally. We had people backed up behind us on the street. She gave us written rules and placed to eat and things like that but no codes or Wi-Fi info at all. I know the woman I spoke to on the phone was the same woman I spoke to in the office. I recognized her voice and her laughter. The whole thing was just a mistake on their part but wanted to blame it on me. She said it’s never happened before yet they have an emergency site when it does happen. 🤷♀️ We’re in the very front by the office. The street noise is loud but I guess we had some place to park. While we were here we had our camper washed by Alex Auto Detailing Service. They did a great job and very reasonable. 520-971-8451 ***
Nice lady checked us in and we were shown to our pull through camp site. Nice size for our 42’ 5th wheel plus parking our Dually. They have an enclosed pool, laundry room and nice dog park that has a double fence. Playground was large. No grass. It’s close to Walmart and a cute little downtown area.
