Sapinero Village Campground

Anglers and boaters will find Blue Mesa Reservoir access just steps from their RV at this terraced hillside campground in Curecanti National Recreation Area. Sapinero Village Campground features full hookups with electric, water, and sewer connections, plus amenities including showers, WiFi, and a lodge with game room. The private campground arranges sites in parallel parking format on gravel pads, with each spot positioned to face the reservoir below.

Campers report clean bathhouse facilities and helpful owners who assist with site selection and provide area information. The terraced layout ensures reservoir views from most sites, though spacing between RVs runs tight nose-to-tail. Lake Fork Campground sits 1.4 miles west for additional options. Winter visitors can access ice fishing and snowmobiling, while summer brings boat rentals and warm-water fishing opportunities on Colorado's largest reservoir.

Campers regularly cited friendly owners, stunning Blue Mesa views from terraced sites, and excellent amenities including clean bathhouses and a popular game room. Some noted tight spacing between RVs but most found the location and facilities impressive.

Great Views of Blue Mesa Lake

The owners and family are great.  Very friendly, helpful and area information. Seems to be a community stopping place as there are so few places to get supplies.  The campground is very convenient location for the lake and rivers.  Nice service of coffee and a few microwaved food options. It has a nice game room also.  The views are great as the layout of the campground is terraced on a hillside.  The sites are all parallel park so your door can have a view of the lake.  The owner helps you get situated into the spot.  The parking is gravel and level.  But there is not much space between nose to tail other campers.

Fantastic Location in Colorado!

My friend and I stopped here on our way to Telluride. We stayed in The Loft above the lodge (so we did not camp), and we just loved it. It was so quiet and comfortable with the two beds, living area, kitchen, and bathroom.

The views of Blue Mesa reservoir were stunning. The park is tiered, so each site has a wonderful view. There are also three cabins available (they have all been beautifully remodeled), as well as a bathhouse. We had a boat ride (there is fishing available), and I heard there is ice fishing and snowmobiling available in the winter. I highly recommend this park!

Excellent facilities and gracious owners

We had a fabulous time camping at Sapinero Village. From the moment we stepped into the lodge to check in, we were greeted with the bright smiles of the owners. They escorted us to our site to ensure it was to our liking- wow! What a view of Blue Mesa. The hookups worked great, and the bathhouse was clean and great for a warm shower to wash off the days! We loved the lodge area to hang out and connect with other campers, and the game room was a smash hit with our two sons- pool table, Jenga, Uno, shooting hoops! Sitting on the porch looking at the gorgeous views of the reservoir called off what was a perfect stay!
