Convenient stop

Great stop to do laundry, fill up water, and just conveniently located near Silverton, during our visit it was quiet, we were told it does get very busy in summer. Definitely recommend.

Not bad/Not a resort

Its not a bad RV park, just over rated.... About a $100 per night for our site with 50 amp, water and sewer. Gravel, not level and very close together. Pedestals, water supply are wonky, old... They could take better care of the place for sure. Wide mix of RV styles: some class A's, 5th wheels and bumper pulls and small vans.... Cabins and dry camping ($60 per night)....They make it very clear as to their rules and let you know they will "evict you" if you violate them...

Probably the best full service option in the area. That said, not many options . We stayed 2 nights and moved on to dry camping. Lots of good dispersed/dry camping in area....

Nice People…too tight

First of all, it all dirt roads. prepare for dust and for your rig to get plenty dirty. The patrons and employees that I met are friendly and great. The spaces are very close together, on gravel and not flat. My front wheels were 14” off the ground :).

The best campground in town!

I have stayed at this campground several times while in Silverton Colorado. This campground is located on the edge of Silverton, about 1 mile from the downtown business district. The campground is fairly quiet and has all the amenities you need. The main office also has a small store with grocery items, camping supplies, and the laundry area. The staff has always been friendly to us, and are knowledgeable about the local area and businesses. This campground features tent sites, RV sites, and Cabins. This campground house clean bathrooms with flush toilets and hot showers located in 2 areas around the campground. This campground do you have quick access to the ATV/Jeep Trails, Hiking trails, Historic sites, and businesses in the area. Animas Creek flows through the edge of the campground, near the tent sites. The campground also has an overflow parking area for people pull in large trailers. We have also used the overflow camping area with no hook ups, when the campground is full. The beautiful mountain scenery surrounding the campground is also awesome! I have always enjoyed my stays At the Silverton Lakes Campground six weeks, and will continue to stay there when I am in the area.

Great park

Silverton Lakes might be the best option in Silverton. Most sites are spacious. The majority of campers here were off-roading, either with Jeeps or SxS. Close enough to town, and lots of mining history nearby.

Does not want to work with you

We booked a year in advance for a 50 amp site and when we got here we were in a 30 amp and asked to be changed. They are unfriendly and their camp staff uses the personal washers when they have their own washers/dryers and then are rude when you ask about it. I should have read the reviews before booking!

Amazing

The views here were postcardish. Pure beauty. The only issue was the distance to the vault toilets. Just an amazing lake.
