BASECAMP 550 has evolved out of the need and desire to change the conventional camping experience. At BASECAMP 550 we’re all about get in, get out and get on with your adventures. We’re here to offer the simplicity and comfort needed after a long day on the dusty trails with a side of night sky stargazing. Adventure awaits with Telluride, Silverton, Ouray and Montrose all within an hour from camp. We’ll be here if you need us, keepin’ it laid back and as chill as possible.

25 quaint RV sites with full hookups are nestled here at camp to allow you to enjoy the BASECAMP 550 experience from your own rig. No sugarcoating, our sites are small so we accept 28’ or less for RV lengths. Full access to the clubhouse, laundry and bath house facilities to make your camping experience one of ease. Stay for a few nights or a few months, we’re happy to have ya!

GLAMPING TENTS

Camping for two, please! While the term “Glamping” comes from blending glamorous with camping, we want to be clear - these aren’t fancy. They are, however, equipped with modern amenities to make your camping experience simple and stress free after a long day of mountain living. Disclaimer, we can’t control the weather (wind, snow, rain, etc) , but we know a good rain dance or two.

Our Casitas and Rustic Cabin accommodate 2 happy campers while the Deluxe Casita willingly boasts room for 4. With varying levels of comfort and amenities, these tiny homes have something for everyone. Gather round the fire or grab a cup of joe before heading out for the day, we have you covered.
