BASECAMP 550

Spots can be a bit close together depending on area. There is outdoor kitchen and I washed our dishes there, showers were very hot (unless someone has used it recently, it might take a quarter to get warm but we got showers in with 3 quarters), bathrooms clean & a bit small, clubhouse was clean and you can cook in it (did not look for utensils in that kitchen). Coffee pot was hot. Good places for dogs to go (although we picked up others' poops everyday so we doubled as poop fairy despite there being lots of poop bag locations). Had space with electric, water, and sewer. Spots that are closest to pasture (park parallel to its fence) have very nice views. Glamping tents looked nice, some 'tiny house' cabins (did not stay in either). Would stay again and probably would pick a 'view spot' next to the pasture.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Campground. We came along this location when all the campgrounds in Ouray were full, this one was only 7 minutes away in Ridgeway. It had every amenity you could need: full hookups, clean restrooms with toilets and showers that take quarters. They offer a laundry room as well as a clubhouse with free coffee and beverages. They also had a nice area for grilling and hanging out with your group. We would definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing stay at Basecamp 550. The campground’s location is perfect, with easy access to Ouray, Montrose, Telluride, and other nearby areas. The amenities were excellent, including quarter-operated hot showers and laundry, restrooms, Wi-Fi, full hookups, and a clubhouse with coffee + tea, kitchen access, and a great workspace. Our site had a beautiful view and was right next to a ranch where cows would come right up to the fence. The communal fire pit was a nice touch, and the private, fenced-in setting made us feel safe and comfortable. They also offer glamping tents and casitas on the property. Highly recommend!
