Best RV Parks & Resorts near Cedaredge, CO

I am not a fan of campsites .... would prefer wild camping and boondocking.  We decided to stay at Saddlehorn for a night and we were very impressed.  The sites are close to each other, however, there is enough natural landscape and trees to allow for privacy.  Each site had a place for 1 car to park, a picnic table and a grill for charcoal.  No fire rings.  The views are spectacular and we did a few hikes that were breathtaking.

The bathrooms are very clean and although we didn't need ADA accommodations, I was very happy to see a couple of sites dedicated to those who may need it.  

Loved this place enough to want to come back!  If you don't need RV hook up, its first come first serve.  We arrived on a Thursday, early afternoon and there were only a few sites to choose from, so plan accordingly!

This is a great place to go and relax. There’s fishing, swimming and the Black Canyon is right up the road. Sites are level for RVs. Lacks full hook ups, but the. Campground host said they are redoing one of the campgrounds to add them.

We stayed in a full RV hookup site for 2 nights (power, water & sewer). Typical State Park with little privacy but there is a great trail along the river that we rode bikes and ran along. The main building has coin showers in the bathrooms and as well a little coin op laundry. The bathrooms closer to the sites are vault toilets but seen to be kept fairly clean.

Pretty campground with grass at the sites, a river a short walk away (there's a good portion of the campground with riverside sites, but limited for larger rigs). We were up by the highway, so the traffic was loud and the neighbors were fairly close. Not too terrible, and nothing a fan couldn't drown out at night. Could not park our tow vehicle at our site, but got a spot nearby across the road. We had some long term neighbors that let their dogs poop around our hookups, so the day we left was a nightmare. But that's not the campground's fault. They just need to enforce dog cleanup a little more maybe.

Let’s just start with the only downside- this campground is not near Glenwood. It’s about 20-25 miles into Glenwood Springs from here. So just know that going into it and everything else is great.

Now onto the awesome campground itself. The people are really friendly and the spots are perfectly level.

Our spot was right on the river which is beautiful. The campground maintains nice grass in the area, fire pits and picnic tables. The park is an all encompassing RV resort. There is a splash pad, a bbq/ picnic area, a trail around the river, a nice store, a pool, a dog park and to top it off big grassy areas to play in. It’s a very nice park.

I would also recommend checking out Rifle Falls (video attached) and Rifle Gap State Park which are both nearby!

Nice place, near railroad track. Didn’t hear train at night. Walking distance to a few restaurants. WiFi, 3 bars on sprint, 3 bars on Verizon. Propane fill up on site, full hook ups with cable. Not much in way of supplies at office/store. Safeway and Walmart apx 1/4 mile away. 35.00/night

After driving 4-10 hour days from Canada in our 16’ travel trailer, staying at Harvest Hosts, we decided to stop here to prep and regroup for the next leg of our journey. Full hook ups allowed us to flush our water systems, recharge all batteries and devices, and wait out some seriously nasty wind, like lift the trailer right off the ground wind (well felt like it I swear!). The place is super clean, easy to access, has great views and a helpful staff. Pet friendly with a small off-leash dog area even. Looks good for families too with a pool and water park, playground. Wifi was good and cell service at 2 bars. Not cheap but easy access to supplies and touristy spots.

It’s your basic rv park, sites with all hookups, showers, bathrooms, laundry, good Verizon service, stayed 4 nights, did laundry, shopping at local stores,

This RV park had a great shower/ bathroom and laundry facility. Our spot overlooked the Colorado River and had great scenic views. We had no issues with the hookups even though the temperatures were below freezing. It's mandatory to have a heated hose during the colder months. The Wi-Fi had a strong signal and we had very few issues with lagging.

Tried this one out during the Covid lockdown for many counties, and enjoyed the semi-rustic setting, flowing creek (with small trout), and proximity to a few view-worthy sights. At the time I-70 through Glenwood Canyon was closed, and US-50 (adjacent to the campground) was the detour route. Endless trucks and jakebrakes all night long. CG can't control the traffic, but it could stand to upgrade or build decent restroom/shower facilities. It would be a great just-off-the-route stop for RVs with shower & bathroom. Full hookups when we were there, but the well had just come back online after replacement. Nice folks.

The Paco Campground at Ridgeway SP is probably my favorite in the SP system. It’s down river from the lake and is tucked in rolling canyon of the Uncompahgre River. The river is a tailwater and has been restored by Trout Unlimited as a Catch & Release section. That bears repeating, especially for our Texas friends- Catch & Release... Sadly on 4 different occasions I’ve assisted Rangers in citing folks from there for keep trout.

The Campground is spacious and beautiful. There’s everything from tent sites to full hook ups. Facilities are spotless and the hosts are outgoing.

Bonus tip- Killer Thai food in Ridgeway. And daytrip for a soak in Ouray.

This is such a clean, comfy little RV park. It backs to the Colorado river, get hot in summer but not too hot. The bathrooms, shower pool are grounds are very well maintained. It’s my second stop here and I’d come again!

Wonderful new rv park. Great for big rigs. Lot to offer with games and pool. We visited the Palisades and hiked in Colorado National Monument. Bathhouse facilities like a grand hotel. We also road our mountain bikes all around. Can hear highway noise during day but minimal st night.

Parking lot type RV park. Bathrooms and showers were nice and new. Pool, hot tub. Walking distance to Ice cream, bagels and variety of food.

This RV park has had a huge face lift - hundreds of new trees, 1000s of flowers and views of the San Juans and beautiful countryside ALL around.
