Riverbend RV Park & Cabins

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Reservations are available at Riverbend RV Park & Cabins in Montrose, Colorado, where nightly rates run from $42 to $149 depending on site type and season. The park operates April 15 through October 15 and accommodates a range of setups, from tent sites and pop-ups to full-hookup RV spots and rentable cabins. Full hookups include electric, water, and sewer connections, and the park also has a dump station, WiFi, hot showers, and an on-site propane fill station. Campers planning a trip through the area will find camping near Montrose spans a range of styles and price points worth comparing before booking.

Water access is a recurring theme across reviews. Sites along the river draw the most consistent praise, and a pond on the property gives campers another spot to sit and watch wildlife, including Canada geese during shoulder season. Several reviewers note the sites are generously sized with gravel lots and well-maintained grounds. Sites near the front gate pick up some highway traffic noise, so requesting a river-facing site may make a meaningful difference.

The park allows pets and includes an off-leash dog area. WiFi has drawn specific praise, with one reviewer describing it as fast relative to other RV parks. Laundry facilities are on-site but noted as small. Experience with staff has varied across reviews: Rodney B. notes it's a place he "would stay here again without hesitation," while a more recent visitor found the check-in policy rigid and the atmosphere less welcoming to groups. Campers who need scheduling flexibility may want to confirm policies before arriving.

Well kept and friendly

Nice size sights. Gravel lots. Do hear a bit of traffic noise from highway when close to front gate. River sights look nicer. I would stay here again without hesitation

Pros/Cons

Pros: Beautiful location next to the Fort Umcompahgre River with easy access to trails for biking. The sites and grounds are well maintained and large. Bathrooms are updated with hot showers.

Cons: Despite previous reviews(outdated), we did not find the hosts accommodating or friendly. There is no room for even a slight early or late check-in, etc. Stuffy environment.

Takeaway: This is not the park for families with children or groups with friends who may want to sit around the fire and laugh out loud. Also, not for those who may need flexibility in their travel plans. Great for a couples retreat.

Riverbend Montrose Colorado

Book it Now! This RV park will fill up quickly. Riverbend is a beautiful park in a fantastic location. What sets this park apart from others is the owners and camp hosts. The park's owners are exceptional; everything they do is done for the benefit of their guests.

 A few examples include oversized RV sites, WiFi, and they even love dogs because they have an off-lease dog park. The camp hosts here are fantastic;

Rob and Becky and Kirby and Robin are two couples that truely went above and beyond. They are simply the best!

We had such a great time we invited several of our friends to come down and rent a cabin, which they all did, and we had an absolute blast! The most amazing trip ever!

Everything right

Such a peaceful campground during shoulder season. The river and pond are were very nice to sit by and observe nature. The Canada geese families were fun to watch. Park is very well maintained and most sites are decent size. We camped next to the pond. Staff very welcoming. Propane on site and they fill. Laundry facilities a bit small.

We hope you can visit us again!

A True Gem

My girlfriend and I took a trip to Utah in January and found ourselves in a snowy Montrose en route to Moab. We booked a spot here and were greeted kindly by the owners and residential campers who help oversee the campgrounds. There is availability for all kinds of campers from Pop-ups, to RVs, to tent, and cabins and sits next to a lovely stream. The facilities were great as well! You can tell that there was a lot of heart and intention put into this space. Will definitely be stopping in again when passing through the area.

You get what you pay for...

We spend three days here between some disperse camping in the region and could not say enough good things. The staff were extremely friendly, this sites were clean, dog park great, river amazing, and location to Montrose perfect.

The laundry rooms was clean with new equipment.

The Wifi was five stars which is rare in most RV parks. Super fast speeds.

We will be back!
