Lake Creek Campground

With water and sewer hookups available, Lake Creek Campground provides developed camping within San Isabel National Forest from May through September. The Forest Service facility features drinking water and restrooms across its compact layout. A small creek runs directly through the campground, with several sites positioned right along the water.

Sites remain relatively close together but benefit from tall trees and dense vegetation that create natural privacy barriers between camping areas. The forested setting limits mountain views of the Sangre de Cristo range. Campers can explore additional camping spots outside San Isabel National Forest or check out Cloverdale Mines Dispersed Area less than a mile south for a different camping experience.

Tucked away in the Sangre de Cristo range

This is a small and well laid out campground. The small Creek runs through it and it's right next to many of the camping sites. There is a downside though. Don't camp here if you want to have it the magnificent view of the sangra de Cristo range.

Cute campground

I didn’t actually camp here but drove through to check it out on a Wednesday afternoon. No sites were occupied.

The sites were pretty small and fairly close together but there are a lot of tall trees and vegetation that offer nice privacy. Several sites were right on the creek. I did see a water spigot too.
