Friendly staff, AMAZING location! Love it here

You can’t beat the view- this place is directly across from the beach and has dramatic views of Morro Rock. Clean restrooms, laundry onsite, and full hookup site. The staff went out of their way to accommodate a late arrival with no reservations.

Noisy Neighbors in Pine Knoll

We went here with another family and were in spots 23 & 36. It was a perfect area for the kids to play. The campsite was very crowded and quite a few of the neighbors were very loud even after the quiet hrs. The park staff never came to ask them to quiet down at all. The bathrooms were not…

Very simple but worthwhile

We have gone twice in the last couple months to this campground. The first time was because it was the last spot available anywhere in slo county and we wanted to take our 2 young kids camping. We enjoyed the fact that there was a park a short walk from the campground and a nice hike down the road…

Family weekend camping trip

The campground is very big, roomy, clean, nice. Our two campsite we stayed at were perfect for the family nice big space, across the way from the restrooms not a far walk. Nice walking distance from the beach. I love the beach access from the campground. The showers had hot water. I don’t remember…

Over night camping

The campground was very nice, clean, campsite was easy to find. We checked in late evening, it was nice that the gate/entrance was open for late arrivals. Campground was walking distance to the beach. Other campers were courteous of quiet hours. The only thing I did not like about the campground…

Sunny gem

It was a warm weekend at San Antonio. The temperature at the lake often exceeds 100 in the summer. There is ample space for camping . You’ll need reservations if you want a hookup . Boat ramps are available. During the drought the water level has dropped significantly as well as the quality of…

Walk to the Beach. Stroll Around the Lagoon

We got lucky and landed a site far in the back. Large space away from everyone but near the restrooms. Our back side butted up to the lagoon and past the restroom you go over the small dune with the roped off succulents and you’re on a really wide sand trail to the beach. Beautiful spot with no…

A Nice Fishing Town to Camp Near

We rolled in just as the clouds had made their stance for the weekend. A relief after a hot trek from NE Los Angeles via Bakersfield, but it quickly became an art film reminiscent of the Oscar winning film, Nomadland. Close proximity neighboring campsites sites, everyone making the best of the…

One of the greatest sites in the US

For the second night of my 3-month long road trip, we stayed up here and cooked a wonderful meal that overlooked a sprawling landscape of fog, mountains, valleys, and the ocean off in the distance. True beauty but was rather busy. Make sure you really have a…

Beautiful campgrounds

Amazing campground that has both primitive tent sites, as well as RV with full hookups. Running water, dishwashing station, hot showers, and flushing toilets. The facilities were clean, and the campgrounds are next to a golf course, and a quick drive away from the beach, Morro Rock, and downtown.…

Host is not friendly

It is a beautiful place despite being in a city. Love how close it is to the beach. Easy parking for any size rig.

Ragged Point PullOff

Great for a one night stay. The view is absolutely spectacular! There’s space for a tent and a few cars here but not much else. Very close to ragged point gas station.

Overall the night wasn’t too bad once traffic died down. Lots of road noise during the evening and early night.

Perfect for overnight

I got there around 5pm and there was 1 camper trying to repair something. Then around 8pm another car pulled in. I slept in my car with my dog, the place was quiet and has an area to the right where you could put a tent. Beautiful views.
