Best RV Parks & Resorts near Pasadena, CA

RV parks near Pasadena offer diverse options within driving distance of Los Angeles attractions. Rancho Jurupa RV Park provides full hookups with water, sewer, and electric service on concrete pads suitable for larger rigs. A camper wrote, "The spaces are close together but the full hookups makes it really nice," referring to nearby LA RV Resort. Hollywood RV Park features tree-shaded sites that help maintain comfortable temperatures during hot weather, while Fairplex RV Park in Pomona accommodates both overnight visitors and event attendees with 30/50 amp electrical hookups. Bonelli Bluffs sits adjacent to a lake with numerous pull-through sites available for bigger motorhomes and fifth wheels.

Many RV parks in the region require advance reservations, particularly during weekends and holiday periods. Several locations offer amenities beyond basic utilities, including laundry facilities, swimming pools, and cable TV connections. Golden Shore RV Resort near Long Beach provides ocean proximity but limited WiFi quality according to visitor feedback. When planning routes, consider that some parks like Rafael's RV Park have very limited capacity with just two sites available. Most locations welcome pets with standard restrictions, though cleanup policies are strictly enforced. Dump stations are available at nearly all established RV parks, with Anaheim Harbor RV Park and Soledad Canyon maintaining year-round access regardless of seasonal conditions.

Anaheim RV Park - PERMANENTLY CLOSED

Disney Camping - Clean, Pool, Very Nice Restrooms/Showers

Anaheim RV Resort is close to Disney and is on the Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) bus route. They have full hook up sites and room for large rigs - back-in and pull through. They are very pet friendly and even have a dog walking/feeding service (for an extra fee). There is a small pool and hot tub. The restrooms/showers and newly remodeled and very nice! Sites are all level and fairly large. We've stayed here 4 times and will be back again!

    Hidden Gem

I loved this place, this hidden gem is located in the in the middle of the city, with the feel of the outdoor. Lots of trees, biking and hiking trails, fishing area, beautiful views, very peaceful, family friendly, pet friendly, the C9 RV spot was very spacious, I also liked the A & B area. Not every site has a fire pit. Definitely coming back again.

    Bolsa Chica State Beach Campground

    Bolsa Chica State Beach

The 4 stars is primarily for location. This is essentially a parking lot with power and water. We had a beach front space (B035) with a decent sized palm tree. The only one I really saw. The spaces aren’t huge so if you have a big rig or large trailer it will be tight. Most trailers parked their tow vehicle perpendicular to the space and some barely fit. There is no privacy, the small concrete area is shared with your neighbors as is the entrance to the beach side. People watching at the boardwalk is amazing. There is live music at the beach bars nearby which was cool. Definitely bring bike. There isn’t a lot within walking distance but downtown Huntington Beach and the pier is just a couple miles away.

    Waterfront RV Park

    Great place by the beach

Your not on the beach but literally on the other side of pacific coast highway you are there. They have smaller options for travel trailers with power hook ups only and pull through and back in sites available with full hook ups. They have a great pool, maintained laundry rooms bathrooms and showers separated by men and woman for that privacy you need. Overall an incredible rv park and very impressed by it being well kept and clean. Not to mention close to the beach

Mountain Lakes Resort - Membership Campground

    Great family friendly place

My wife and I have been coming up here for years. We used to use her parents fifth wheel or use a cabin but recently purchased our own travel trailer. Now we come up here with our kids and I can’t say enough about how family friendly it is.

    Bonita Ranch Campground

    Just ok overall

Needed somewhere fairly close to home to take my new to us motorhome. Sites were decent size but fairly close together so don’t expect a lot of privacy. Sites interspersed among long term residents. Hookups water and electric at each site. Some shade, trails to riverbed currently mostly dry and Bonita falls about 25 minute walk over river rock. Fire rings available to rent for $5. The biggest issue I had was our electric went out to our loop at about 7:30pm…luckily we are self contained…it still had not been restored when we left the next day at noonish. The lights to the office area and restrooms was still on (thankfully) but not the camp sites.

    Orangeland RV Park

    Location!

Stay here every year for dance competitions in Anaheim and Garden Grove. Very reasonable prices for the area. Anaheim transit makes on-demand stops her to Disneyland as well as Garden Walk. Very helpful, friendly staff. Many residents mixed with overnight era or vacationers.

    Pros:

    • The price for the area is worth it!
    • Amazing staff.
    • Free citrus picking!
    • Pool, mini golf on site.
    • Incredibly creak restrooms and showers.
    • Camp store.
    • On-demand public transport for $6/person for all-day access.
    • Walking distance to Big Ed and Honda Center.
    • Along Santa Ana River Trail path that connects beach to San Bernardino Mts.
    • Security at night.
    • Dog runs (kinda stinky, though)
    • Back-in and pull-thru sites (I’d try to stay closer to Struck and the western side)
    • Rules are there to keep things nice and safe.
    • Good wifi

    Cons:

    • Stinky dog runs
    • Street racing nearby at night. Every time.

    O'Neill Regional Park

Great Tucked Away Spot in Orange County

    SITE:

This site is great if you like hiking, biking, MTB, and running. It is very clean, and the showers are free and clean as well. It's tucked back in the canyon, but you will still hear all the traffic from the road. Since it is a canyon, many loud cars and motorcycles zoom past at high speeds.

    Free dump station.

    SURROUNDING AREA

There aren't too many shops in close proximity, but there are shops down the road a few minutes away if you need supplies.

    ACTIVITIES

The campground is located next to Oneil Park, which is huge and great for bike and running. There are many hiking trails nearby in all directions. I usually ride to Caspers from the campsite or Trabruco creak up to Holy Jim.

Guide to Pasadena

RV campgrounds near Pasadena, California offer options within 20-45 minutes of Los Angeles attractions and the San Gabriel Mountains. Most camping facilities in this urban-adjacent region operate year-round with summer temperatures typically ranging from 75-95°F during peak season. Winter nights can drop to the mid-40s, requiring campers to prepare for moderate temperature fluctuations.

What to do

Water activities at Bonelli Bluffs: Located near San Dimas, this RV park sits adjacent to a recreational lake where campers can participate in fishing, kayaking, and swimming. A camper noted, "Beautiful views all around Sunrise, Sunset and Night sky. Sights of all kinds of birds like hawks and herons. Water park and mini golf for kids."

Historic district exploration: Rancho Jurupa RV Park offers convenient access to historical sites. One visitor explained, "We drove over to the Mission Inn (8 min drive) enjoyed lunch. Their is a pedestrian only shopping area with a Saturday farmer's market plus lots of restaurants."

Bird watching opportunities: Urban camping locations still offer wildlife viewing. At Golden Shore RV Resort, the waterfront location provides habitat for coastal birds, while other parks offer surprising natural encounters. A camper at Rancho Jurupa Park commented, "While setting up camp we watched wild parrots fly overhead."

What campers like

Family amenities: Thousand Trails Soledad Canyon includes recently updated facilities that families appreciate. A visitor mentioned, "Recently remolded lodge in 2019. Great place to stay if you are a TT member road to resort is windy and narrow but easily manageable with larger RVs."

Security features: Safety measures receive positive comments at multiple RV campgrounds near Pasadena. One camper at Rancho Jurupa Park wrote, "Great sense of community and great placement of the gates for safety purposes. Ranger is on constant patrol."

Pool access: Most Pasadena-area RV parks maintain swimming pools for guest use, though reservation systems may apply. A visitor to Golden Shore RV Resort noted, "During COVID you need to reserve your time at the pool. The pool, showers, bathrooms are all spotless."

What you should know

Site spacing varies: While some parks offer spacious sites, others maximize capacity. At Fairplex RV Park, a camper warned, "Spaces are very tight. Good for 1 nite only stay. Staff was friendly and place is clean but not much room to maneuver a lg. rv. in."

Noise considerations: Hollywood RV Park offers urban camping with varying noise levels. One camper reported, "It's quiet at night. Just the white noise hum of the city and crickets. Really surprised with how well we've slept here given the location."

WiFi limitations: Internet connectivity varies significantly between parks and even within the same facility. A visitor to Californian RV Resort noted, "They list that there's WiFi but I was close to the office and was never able to connect."

Tips for camping with families

Splash pads for kids: Anaheim Harbor RV Park provides family-friendly water features beyond standard pools. A visitor shared, "Little tufts of fake grass with full hook ups. Nice bathrooms and hot showers with laundry on location. Good amount of space between sites."

Recreation programming: Parks often organize family activities, particularly during weekends and peak seasons. A camper at Rancho Jurupa Park mentioned, "There are some great kid friendly activities. Girls used Porta Potties. I'm hoping they have finished construction on something better since then."

Budget considerations: Pricing structures vary significantly, with many parks charging extra for children and amenities. A visitor noted at Anaheim Harbor, "Despite Disneyland being a family destination, their campsites are for 2 people only. You must pay for each additional person over 10 years old."

Tips from RVers

Accessibility features: Soledad Canyon provides accommodations for campers with mobility needs. One RVer explained, "This is one of the best handicap accessible shower and restroom areas we've seen. The larger pool had a roll in area but I do not know if they had a wheelchair that would allow you to actually use it."

Parking logistics: Many RV parks near Pasadena have specific parking arrangements. A camper at Rafael's RV Park shared, "Rafael was a friendly host and very helpful and made sure we were set up well. It's urban camping, so don't expect a scenic state park place."

Long-term stay policies: For extended visits, inquire about monthly rates and policies. At Hollywood RV Park, a camper observed, "Petty much the best rv park in the area for long term stay. There's such an interesting mix of people staying at this quirky place! Many friendly and helpful."
