      Waterfront RV Park

      Waterfront RV Park, CA

Located in Huntington Beach California. This site is right across the street from the beach. Be careful and aware when staying here. My husband and I had our mountain bikes stolen when sleeping. When we asked for camera footage the owners of the campground claimed the cameras were broken and they couldn’t share the footage. There are many homeless folks living in the area. The showers don’t get hot, but the area is clean. There is a pool and a hot tub and a small dog park. It’s expensive to stay here, but a beautiful spot.

Close to town but no cell signal, this place is amazing! Large camping area and I’ve never felt crowded ! Quarter showers and laundry, and a dog park! Lots of deer in the area and Great Lake to fish at! They also offer some hook ups for the rv campers

      Hollywood RV Park

      Themed Park!

First of all, staff was amazing. We were originally supposed to arrive on a Tuesday and we’re not able to make it. Staff shifted our reservation instead of us eating the missed night cost. Also super accommodating allowing us to extend a day longer last minute. Park is tight quarters with 200 spots. Two laundry rooms/bathrooms with showers on site, plus a cute little dog park! We stayed for three nights. Every “road” in the park is themed with California or Hollywood themed decorations and murals. We were parked right next to a Mister Roger’s mural across from the laundry/bathrooms. My only complaint in the noise level at times which is not from the park itself. Helicopters would fly over randomly, sometimes at night and it could be annoying when trying to sleep. Otherwise, absolute GEM of a place!

      Hare School Park

It’s the sports fields parking lot

I’ve been here for a couple days and nobody’s mess with us. There’s other people that are staying in another parking lot attached that are homeless in their vehicles mostly cars and vans. I’m in a 25 foot Fleetwood RV. There’s a dog park kind of area with a big field they can run around and just clean up after them. There’s no public bathrooms, but there are trash cans so clean up after yourself please. It’s not tent friendly. I don’t believe.

Anaheim RV Park - PERMANENTLY CLOSED

Disney Camping - Clean, Pool, Very Nice Restrooms/Showers

Anaheim RV Resort is close to Disney and is on the Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) bus route. They have full hook up sites and room for large rigs - back-in and pull through. They are very pet friendly and even have a dog walking/feeding service (for an extra fee). There is a small pool and hot tub. The restrooms/showers and newly remodeled and very nice! Sites are all level and fairly large. We've stayed here 4 times and will be back again!

Rolling M. Ranch Campground — Chino Hills State Park

      Beautifully scenic area

Sprawling lush green hills? Can’t beat Chino Hills State Park.
The campground itself feels very close together and wide open compared to the space of the park. Gets loud at night if there are too many groups camping. No cell service. Super clean bathrooms and showers.

PET OWNERS BEWARE: Our dog munched on a frog at this campsite and started foaming at the mouth. We rinsed her mouth out with water and she turned out fine, but a smaller dog or a swallowed frog and she could have died from toxicity.

      Bonita Ranch Campground

      Loved this spot!!

A little gem hiding out in Lytle Creek! Easy access to a pretty trail right behind the campground. Very quiet and interspersed with long time stayers and temporary campers. I stayed in my van and had my cat and dog with me. Campfire wood was easily available and had its own picnic table. Beautiful scenery and we even got a dusting of snow! I stayed two nights while in town for work and it was perfect.

    Guide to Lynwood

Dockweiler Beach RV Park is located directly on the beach near Lynwood, California, approximately 30 minutes west of the city. The oceanfront sites provide immediate access to the Pacific coastline and are situated near the flight path of LAX airport. The RV park offers both hookup areas and dry camping sections with different space configurations and amenities depending on location.

    What to do

Beach activities: Dockweiler Beach RV Park offers direct beach access with fire rings for evening gatherings. "The RV park has a hookup area and a dry camping area... The park is right next to the beach, walk 1 minute and you're there. There's also a bike path that goes for miles both north or south - great for an early workout," notes Ignasi M.

Cycling routes: Waterfront RV Park connects to extended beach paths. "We rode bikes along the bike path through Huntington, and went for daily walks as well," shares Zach R. The park is positioned across from the beach with about "a 2 minute walk to the sand, and 4 minutes to the oceanfront."

Urban exploration: Campgrounds near Lynwood provide convenient access to major attractions. "We had a question about the area and Tyler picked up the conversation humbly explaining how peaceful the facility is," says Laron R. about their stay at Waterfront RV Park, noting the balance between urban amenities and relaxation.

    What campers like

Airport viewing: Bolsa Chica State Beach Campground offers RV camping with unique planespotting opportunities. "We loved this spot next to the beach. We got used to the planes, but they are certainly jarring at first," Tyler G. mentions about the flight patterns overhead.

Pool amenities: Campers appreciate facilities for cooling off after beach days. "Clean, comfortable sites near Long Beach Marina and downtown. Good biking, walking lanes. Pool & jacuzzi are nice," shares Denise P. about her stay at Golden Shore RV Resort.

Site spacing: Bonelli Bluffs provides varied camping experiences based on vehicle type. "Awesome for RVs but maybe not the best for tent camping... for RVs couldn't be happier plus the people here are nice and friendly," notes Sara H., highlighting the different experiences based on accommodation type.

    What you should know

Site configurations: Most RV parks near Lynwood have different site sections with varying amenities. "The hookups are full of large rigs, very close one with another, in a parking lot style. The dry camp provides much more space, but only relatively small RVs," explains Ignasi M. about Dockweiler's layout options.

Noise considerations: Many campgrounds in the area experience noise from urban environments. "A huge power plant beside you does not give a great backdrop for pictures... If you want a campground close to beach, this will work," advises a reviewer about Waterfront RV Park.

Reservation planning: Anaheim Harbor RV Park requires advance planning for site selection. "If you have a larger RV or slide-outs it is recommended you book Deluxe space or Deluxe space+ parking... Standard sites may be too narrow to extend awning," warns Prentice F.

    Tips for camping with families

Kid-friendly facilities: Several parks offer specific amenities for younger campers. "A covered play area, helpful staff, heated pool as well as a hot tub. The grounds are very well kept and grocery stores within 10 min," shares Amanda G. about her family stay at Orangeland RV Park.

Pool schedules: Swimming facilities may have reservation systems or seasonal limitations. "During COVID you need to reserve your time at the pool," noted Anna about Golden Shore RV Resort, demonstrating that even permanent amenities may have usage restrictions.

Tent camping options: Limited tent camping exists at select locations. "We tent camped here for one night... There are only two tent sites (T1 and T3), the rest are for RVs. The price was super affordable at only $40 per night," explains Jessica R. about her stay at Anaheim Harbor RV Park with children.

    Tips from RVers

Military options: Los Alamitos Army Campground offers secure facilities for eligible visitors. "Full hookup in both parks, Legacy (gravel for smaller RVs) and Sunset (cement spots with extra spot for a car). Legacy is a no thrills gated gravel parking lot that holds maybe 20 smaller RVs," explains Angela P. about this military option.

Site selection: Choose RV spots based on specific needs and vehicles. "The sites are groomed and clean when you come in... Spots are close together unless you end up with a larger spot," notes a reviewer about Golden Shore RV Resort, highlighting the importance of requesting specific locations.

Pet-friendly parameters: While multiple parks allow pets, some have restrictions. "Only two dogs allowed, we had to leave one with a friend... I asked if we could bring our third dog and were told no, didn't even get to explain about the size, the breed," shares Brian C. about Orangeland RV Park's pet policy limitations.
