Big Trees Everywhere!

Clean, quiet campground nestled in the big trees. Friendly staff and a quick drive into the Santa Cruz beach communities.

Mount Madonna camping hideaway under redwoods

Enjoyed tent camping at mount Madonna. I was able to reserve a drive in tent campground one month out . Many miles of trails and excellent facilities.

Up, up, up

For reasons I can't fully explain, Laguna Seca is my favorite campground ever. It's a deep dive into Oak Chaparral and . . . race cars. Expect high winds, revving motors, and ticks. There is no drinking water up there at the moment but there are showers and restrooms. If you are riding your bike,…

Redneck Heaven

Pistol shooting during the day, fireworks at night & race car driving (road course) all day.

No potable water, only electricity & dump. Site dirty, so we cleaned it. Pretty mountain scenery. Great mountain biking & hiking. 20-30 minute access to Monterey Peninsula.

Marina Dunes RV Park

It is $160 to stay there. I have a camper van and I didn’t need all the hook up. There is a Best Western right next to this place were we ended up getting a room instead as that was less expensive. We did arrive there with no reservation and after hours. There was a worker ready to give us a spot…

Great place and not far away from the tourist spots.

Great place for only $40 a night. It has all the essentials for your stay. First come, first served. Very clean showers and restrooms! Showers are included in the price. No need to buy annoying tokens. (You can also shower for $3 if you aren’t staying over night). This campsite is located in the…

Nice campsites, good location!

Camped with electricity and water, situated on a bluff near the ocean. Easy walking distance to the water, nice roomy campsites with fire rings and tables. Not too close to other campers.

Delightful beach camping

Absolutely wonderful spot to camp! Just a quick walk down the hill to the beach (there are stairs, so can’t pull a wagon as a heads up). Beach wasn’t busy and the waves aren’t too big.

Epic sunset views. Most campsites are quite big. Some trees and shade too. Super clean bathrooms.

Great campground for a few days

They have nice facilities and a heated pool although a hot tub would be nice also. The sites are a little small but very mature trees and they keep it clean. Some of the back in sites for tent trailer are a pain to get into but very nice setup with private dishwashing station and cook space.…

Secret beach

Nice and clean campground. Room for any size rig. The store closed at noon on Saturday and wasn’t open Sunday, so don’t forget anything. Although you are not far from stores (Walmart etc). But the real reason to camp here is the beach. About a 5 min trek through sand and dunes and you’ll find…

Redwood camping

Entrance is a little nerve racking on your first visit, but once your at your site you can relax. Bathrooms are a little dated, no cell service but good WiFi if your close to the office.

Pleasant setting with some noise from the shooting range

I liked the trees, picnic tables, and fire rings at the sites. The sites were spaced nicely to allow for privacy. Frog Flat seemed a bit more secluded than the main camp. There was no water running at the site when I stayed there, but vault toilets were available. There is a nearby shooting range…

It's so quiet

We stayed at one of the hike into camp sites. The hike in isn't very far at all but it's separated with from the other campers that it creates a peaceful and private environment. There is a specific campsite that you can really hike into, that one is a 3 mile hike and you have to call ahead to…
