Decent facilities horrible staff

This place has decent facilities doesn't clean or check bathrooms as often as they should. The staff is horrible. We booked many months in advance and although we had email confirmation on sites they said we agreed to switch spots in the middle of our stay because they double booked and some how our fault they are un-organized and cannot work a computer. The women in the office with a compromised voice is very unfriendly and okay with her staff also being un-friendly. The man Dan who rides around  in the Golf cart is also a horrible person and hates his job or at least I assume since he treats people like garbage. They seem to have a motto that "if you don't like it you can leave" . Horrible they are allowed to treat people like this.

Great location

The sites are close together. The place is old, but it has a great location. There are great hiking trails assessable from the campground. There is a nearby store, and you are close enough to Santa Cruz to spend a day on the boardwalk.

Fine but expensive

Really nice folks but they nickle and dime you. We paid $65 for basically a parking spot and a bench, and $13 for a bundle of wood. Great location, just know there's cheaper options

So much to do

I loved this campsite! Plenty of trees for shade, there’s a pool, hiking trails, a little river. So beautiful and peaceful here.

Very ill maintained rv park

We stayed here 2 days and instantly regretted it. The park is super old and not very well maintained. It is difficult to get here since the roads are very tight. The campground spots are very close together and there are alot of kids just running around unattended.. The bathrooms were terrible. Showers were dated and smelled of mildew/mold, the showers had push buttons that timed out every 20 seconds so it was difficult to shower comfortably. They state that they have 60 channels of cable and wifi but neither seem to work correctly. We didn't get any channels on cable and as for the wifi, they don't allow streaming of any kind! Park management is a mess and very disorganized, clubhouse is old and dated. Do your research prior to coming here as it is overpriced for the quality you are getting... better campgrounds up the road from here!

We Love This Place

Sites can get a bit tight, but there are definitely some gems hidden in the redwoods. Close to Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, which is definitely worth checking out, While you're at it, take a ride through the forrest on the steam train.

Redwood camping

Entrance is a little nerve racking on your first visit, but once your at your site you can relax. Bathrooms are a little dated, no cell service but good WiFi if your close to the office.

Beautiful sites among mature redwoods

Spent 2 nights here with our 2&3 year olds. Sites are a little tight but worth being nestled in the redwoods. Lots of hiking and exploring right from the campsite. Kids liked the pool and clubhouse. Look forward to our next visit

Terrible. Absolutely terrible customer service. Spots are way too small. My slide almost sat on the neighbors table. Do not come here, sites are more suited for a tent. Garbage.

Fun for the kids

This R.V. Park is rustic, but has a lot of amenities and is very close to Santa Cruz. We visit family and friends in the area often, but this was the first time we camped in the area. It is $50 base price per night, which I think is very exorbitant for a tent site. There is an additional $3 charge per night for any more than two campers per tent or R.V. site. Because there was me and my two daughters it was $53 per night. I gave it 4 stars because the price is so high.

There are just four tent sites here. We were in T2 which was just over a small footbridge over a creek from our parking spot. The spot was small, but had a picnic table, fire pit, and elevated wooden deck. I’m not sure if the deck is for setting up your ten on or lounging on, but we opted to set up our tent on the ground.

We spent most of our time with relatives, so we didn’t have a lot of time to use the amenities, but there were lots of kids around using the playground, bicycling, playing basketball, and swimming in the pool. There was also a large clubhouse with foosball, ping pong and arcade games which is open from 9am - 9pm. My daughters used the clubhouse while I set up camp and after waking up while I stayed in bed for a little while.

There was no AT&T sevice for me, but free WiFi was available so it was fine. The check in process was slow, but okay. Our campsite neighbors seemed very squeamish about camping and left out food that a raccoon family got into in the early morning waking them and us up. I think they were just inexperienced campers.

Overall I’d stay here again, but I might hesitate at the price. I think this would be a nice place for a family to hang out at. There are lots of things for the kids to do and lots of friends to play with.
