Great place to stay outside GCNP

We stayed here because it was very reasonably priced for a cabin when we were visiting the Grand Canyon. After a very hot day seeing the Canyon, it was great to return to the pool. There was also a hot tub (age 14+ only). The cabins didn’t have air conditioning but it got pretty cool at night and there was a fan so we slept great. Everyone was friendly. Nice large and clean bathrooms and showers. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to visit!

    Enchanting

Lo Lo Mai Springs is one of our new favorite campgrounds! There’s a hot tub and swimming pool, a creek to swim and fish in, nice bathrooms and showers, a dishwashing station. They have full hookups, tent spots, and cabins. The campground is beautiful with trees everywhere and most campgrounds are close to the creek. Just 15 minutes away from Sedona and Cottonwood, about 30 minutes away from Jerome! There’s 2 Vineyards down the road that we enjoyed... DA Ranch was absolutely beautiful and our favorite. Definitely recommend Lo Lo Mai!

    Our favorite Thousand Trails campground!

This place is huge! Nestled in the red rock country of Arizona, this Thousand Trails campground offers a scenic and tranquil escape. The sites are well-spaced, and the amenities include a pool, hot tub, 2 dog parks, hiking trails, river access and clubhouse. Its proximity to Sedona, Jerome and local wineries makes it an excellent choice for those seeking relaxation and exploration.

Great Basecamp for Grand Canyon Exploration

Even though we had been camping on this road trip and had our gear in the car, we elected to stay in one of the camping cabins at the Williams KOA and it was quite a treat. Even in the late summer, it can get cool in the evening, so we were thankful for the extra shelter. After dinner by the campfire ring, we went to bed and awoke the next morning to take the little Williams train into the South Rim where we hiked for a couple of miles with our 4-year-old. She did surprisingly well, and it ended being a great little short stay at the GC.

    Wonderful Place

We have camped here three separate times for a month each time. It is beautifully landscaped and has large sites, some shaded. They have a great heated pool and hot tub. The staff is very friendly and there are activities every weekend. Within a 30 minute of Sedona which had some of the most awesome hikes ever!

    Beautiful but Busy

July 12-14, 2019. Campsite 61. Spacious, flat and big groovy trees all around. We shared the campsite next to us (#59) with family so maybe it seemed even more comfortable. It was just a short skip down to Oak Creek. The campground itself seemed spacious as well (I can’t speak for the Cabin and RV areas). There were plenty of sites on the creek, and others just off it. The grounds are beautiful and can be quite relaxing but there was a lot of traffic as 90 plus other groups came in on the same day!!! It was to expected as Lo Lo Mai is beautiful and therefore popular and it was prime summertime weekend. Overall, I thought the place was big enough to accommodate everybody, and everyone was respectful and happy. It was probably the most I’ve ever spent on a campsite, but I’ve also never camped at a site with a pool, hot tub, basketball court, horseshoe pit and other amenities.

    Close to Grand Canyon

Great park. Within an hour to the south rim of Grand Canyon. We had a 30 amp back in. Site 21 water and electric only. Some sites were FHU. Some sites had hookups on "wrong" side. Sites are small and close together. We enjoyed our stay here. Clean bathrooms, nice laundry room, great pool and hot tub. Camp was very clean and people friendly. About 6 miles to Williams AZ where there are restaurants and grocery.

    Charming; no cell service

Loved this adorable campground. I just wish someone had told me there’s no cell service. I tried to work remotely while here. Terrible idea. (I know) Even in 40° rain the only way to call out or get online is sitting on the (comfortable) porch of the clubhouse to catch the WiFi and use wifi calling. That works for 20 minutes, but not for two days. Quiet, clean, beautiful, great hot tub and pool. Next time I’ll plan not to work.

    Wonderful experience

We went over Thanksgiving and had a splendid time. The staff is super nice and awesome. There was so much to do from mini golf, painting classes, live music, dinners, karaoke, and free breakfast 3 days a week, hot tub and heated piol. There are lots of trees and it’s a great park to walk around. At the back you have the River you can walk around and you are surrounded with mountain views. Very dog friendly and they even have a dog park, and “office” dog. I would rebook here again we had such a lovely experience.

We love Verde Valley Thousand trails!

This is a hidden gem Thousand Trails campground for us. So many amenities. The off leash dog park, pickleball court, and hot tub/pool are just a few to name that we use! On the weekends they have a wonderful food truck that also serves espresso drinks and fresh pressed juice! Bathrooms are clean and showers are pretty big. Full hookups at most sites as well! We have stayed in both the premium sites and the regular and have enjoyed both. Pool was closed this last visit for renovations but they say it should be open any day now!

    nice RV site.. great amenities

50amp sites a narrow and mostly taken by full timers so plan on using a 30 amp. site. they are all gravel sites with picnic tables and grill. ask of the grass sites. they are close to the pool and seem nicer. amenities are great-pool, hot tub, club house, mini golf, off leach dog area. only down fall was fire ants. with the lake of rain in the area they ants were all over. the river is nice a small hike from the camp. great fishing area we’d go back in the fall or spring to hot in the summer

    Lo Lo Mai Springs Resort

    Charming

Once again we were impressed by Lo Lo Mai. This time our tent site was literally right next to the creek. And it was a beautiful site surrounded by trees. Bathrooms and showers were clean (Atleast the woman’s were, my husband complained about the male showers being a bit dirty). The swimming pool and hot tub are also a big hit. We hit a few wineries around the area that were great. Only downside to Lo Lo Mai is they don’t provide drinking water spickets like most campgrounds do. And it’s a heavily used campground, but not surprising because it’s a beautiful and fun campground right next to the creek. Overall great stay once again.

    Beautiful location

Our site was twice the size of most campsites with plenty of room for our large popup, my SUV and my daughter’s pickup. Under beautiful trees and only steps from a creek/river. We had water and electricity hookups only. If you don’t need or want sewer you can be right on the water. The bathrooms were close and the showers were very hot and free! There was a beautiful pool and hot tub too Not gonna lie this place is very expensive! Unusual that they charged per person, per pet and per vehicle. We arrived Friday and left Monday. Originally it was going to be just two of us in the popup for 156 bucks. My daughter and two grandson joined us in the same site in our popup and that was another 136 bucks!

    Lo Lo Mai Springs Resort

    Beautiful location

The RV sites at Lo Lo Mai have mature trees, are flat, and are fairly close (walking distance) to a creek that runs along the property.

    Pros

    • Flat sites
    • Electric, sewer, water, toilets, and showers
    • Shade from mature trees
    • Pool and hot tub
    • General Store
    • Close to Sedona, and numerous hikes and activities
    • The creek can provide for some fun and welcome relief from heat, plus its great for soaking tired feet after a day hiking
    • Dish washing stations

    Cons

    • There is no WiFi, it states they do on the web site but it is only usable from the “club house” and even then is not useable for anything. I don’t mean live streaming and games, forget that. We had a hard time just loading email.
    • Depending on your site you may have a short walk to the bathroom and shower, but really not bad. Bring a bike and it’s really easy.

    A hidden Gem

We just stayed here this past weekend and we will definitely be back! This place is amazing! Nicer than most KOAs and similarly priced but with more stuff to do. There is a heated pool ( like actually heated) a hot tub, a cute playground, basketball half court, pickle ball courts, mini golf course, dog park, and a river nearby. On top of all they that have great activities available on the weekend like kids crafts, a movie night, live music and a nice campfire. Honestly this place is very well cared for and it shows. The staff were all very friendly, and public bathrooms were some of the nicest and cleanest I’ve ever seen! The even offered free breakfast on Sunday. Also they weren’t too close to the freeway ( we have a pop-up so we hear everything at night), but only a few minutes from gas stations and Starbucks as well as McDonalds and other fast food places.

    Thousand Trails Verde Valley

Outdoor living with all the amenities

Stayed here for two weeks. This campground is nestled behind some hills right next to the Verde River. It’s a beautiful setting with a huge variety of sites. There’s a mix of full timers and daily/weekly visitors. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. I can’t say we met a bad neighbor either, and most were super nice people.

We stayed near the pool lodge. The pool and hot tub were very clean. There is a horseshoe pit, tennis courts, and basketball courts that didn’t seem to get much use. Still, nice to have for people staying longer term.

The only irritation I had was the speed limits. I understand the reasoning, but getting in and out of the park was a pain just because it took so long to drive 5-10 mph for 1-2 mile stretches. Most of that drive is through uninhabited areas, but I think Thousand Trails is just covering their rears for liability sake.

Oh, and internet is almost non-existent. I had a T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon phone, and all were pretty much worthless most of the time. We paid $15 for a week of WiFi, but ended up asking for a refund as it was even more unusable than our phones. Still, you can only ask so much from a campsite when it gets far enough off the grid.

So, overall a great experience, and would definitely love to stay there again in the future.

Nice area but very cramped accommodations

Stayed here for 4 nights. The Mormon Lake area is very nice and secluded. However, the RV sites are so packed together that you barely have room to put out your slides or awnings. They do have a few sites with 50amp hook ups. The remaining hook-up sites are 30amp. There is sewer and water at each of the sites as well. There is a general store on property that has many things from groceries to camping supplies as well. Only the first three rows of sites are wooded, the rest are basically just in an open field.

    Great facility

I've camped here twice, once solo in a tent and once in a cabin with my family and dog.

This facility is clean, quiet (depending on your site neighbors, of course), close to town, and has great amenities.

The tent sites had decent separation from each other with adequate shrubbery in between.

The cabin loop is wonderfully private from the rest of the park and a great getaway for anyone looking for some peace and quiet.

Bathrooms are well maintained, lots of trails, good fishing opportunities in the lagoons.

    Absolutely will camp here again.

Nice oasis in the summer heat

We stayed here in June which is a hot time to camp in Arizona. This campground has Oak Creek running through it which is a great place to cool off. We stayed here while we visited Sedona which is not too far away. Mature trees provide shade at most sites. The mosquitoes were pretty bad which sometimes just a part of camping near water. Clean restrooms and showers.

My goal was to find a nice tent spot nestled in between Cottonwood and Sedona, and along the Verde River for easy canoe access. Upon driving onto the property we were greeting by a very friendly gatekeeper who wished us a great stay and suggested spots for canoeing and exploring the area.

We were happy to find that the resort had a lovely pool and jacuzzi, (perfect after a day of adventuring or traveling) warm, cozy bathrooms after sleeping in a tent site in 50 degrees, and large clean campsites, many of them with trees and many close enough to hear the Verde River water down below. Being unable to get to the river from our campsite was our only disappointment. We stayed in the "A" section, which has tent and pop-up spots around rows of their mini cabins and RV spots. We were initially worried about the noise from all of the RV's, being more of the backwoods camping sorts, but the entire place is very calm and quiet.

A short walk across what the property will find you at Alcantara Winery. It was the perfect place to end our day of exploring the area. I'd certainly come back to the park in the future.

    Great spot near Grand Canyon

The camper cabins were a warm and welcome abode after roughing it boondocking for a while. Showers and bathrooms were clean and the cabins were pet friendly.

    Merry Christmas Eve!

Outstanding one night stay at the DHR Cabins. The family had an awesome stay. Cabins right on the river, quiet and spread out enough. Walked and fished the river, so peaceful. Cleanest bathrooms I have ever been to at a campsite. Would suggest this to anyone, had a blast!

    Williams-Circle Pines KOA

    Nice but crowded

Its a large KOA right off the highway. Nice facility, with bathrooms, showers, a store, and more. We’ve stayed here twice. Once in a tent and once in a cabin. They offer nicer cabins that’s almost it’s own little house with your own bathroom and kitchen. We stayed in a basic cabin with only beds and a heater. But it was enough for what we wanted. Camp sites are close to each other a long with the cabins. It’s a nice facility to stay at that’s on alternative to a hotel however you don’t get that camping feel with all the people being packed in one area. While staying here we visited our beloved Bearizona, and downtown Williams. Some of our favorite things to do in AZ. If you really want a camping feel, then I would not recommend however if you want a nice alternative to a hotel and to enjoy the outdoors this is your spot.

    Lo Lo Mai Springs Resort

    Lo Lo mai was great

Lo Lo mai was great. Lots of amenities for the kids and all convenient proximity to the creek for easy access to cool down. We brought up our pop up and had friends stay in the cabin. Cabin was cozy with enough room. Campsite has electric and water hook up. Only complaint was the amount of flies but it's summertime.
