Wonderful pines!

We enjoyed our two night stay. The staff is accommodating. They have a cute store/wine bar/coffee shop. The sites are tight, and close to each other. But we were fortunate to have good neighbors. Everyone was so friendly!

Nice shaded place

We had a spot right next to the woods which was great place to walk the dogs. Had a nice general store and coffee shop. A little expensive for us but it definitely was a nice place. Bad Wi-Fi connection in our spot.

Very disappointed

Very disappointed with this campground. Our site was so muddy, when we mentioned it they even agreed and said„yes you are indeed in the muddiest site but it will dry up before you leave“. We even had to go to Walmart to buy rain boots to walk outside. For the price of night they need to definitely take better care of those sites and lay down rocks or something. We also purchased a gas fire pit for$20 a day. The third day the gas was empty and we were promised someone would come to replace it. They didn’t and we used our own. When we emailed to let them know we got no answer, no apologies and not a cent back. Mind you we stayed an entire week! Absolutely overpriced for what it is, the only thing we enjoyed were the pine trees and we got lucky that no one camped next to us so we had some privacy!

I hope to come back to this place!

Stayed here two nights during a cross-country trip and this was our favorite campground. Clean showers, bathrooms, and laundry, wooded, shady sites, and the most accommodating, friendly staff there is. The food at the office/restaurant was excellent!

Nice location but close together and with an angry long term resident

We frequently go to places that are off grid so part of not loving how close the sites were was part of it but we did feel really close together. So close that we could watch our neighbors movie blasting on their loud speaker and our neighbor kicked a soccer ball and hit our trailer a few times.

Dogs are allowed but don’t seem all that welcomed. A lot of dogs were barking through the campground which I honestly don’t care about but our dog was minimally barking for a short period of time. As we were calming him down, one of the long term residents started yelling and hollering for all of the dogs to shut up. He was yelling so bad that the other nearby campers wanted to move spots. Shortly after that, the camp manager came and started yelling at us because our dog barked briefly. There were many other dogs (including our neighbors) that were barking non stop all day and they didn’t seem to get a slap on the wrist.

This one bad experience made us feel unwelcomed but the grounds were well maintained and it did have all of the amenities needed. The service in the general store was very nice and pleasant but it sucks to feel not welcomed at a place you are giving money at to stay when you feel like you’re being as respectful to the rules as you can be.

If it hadn’t been for that one experience, I would’ve liked this place better but because of that, I would not return. The behavior of this long term resident (in the area of site 67) was really uncalled for and not acceptable. To see management on his side though he was acting irrationally was unsettling.

Clean but crowded and expensive

Based on previous reviews, I had much higher expectations for this place. It's located in a nicely forested setting, but the layout, at least where my site was located, is weird with huge and tiny sites all jumbled together. Maybe to protect the trees, then it would be ok. We had 20 amp electricity but no water, which was disappointing given how expensive this site was. Laundry and showers were nice and clean and the store carries some very nice items. I also found my site quite noisy, surrounded as we were by roads and rail.

Fun Time in the Ponderosa’s

Great time. Beautiful campground. General store that sells beer and wine and a cafe with great food for breakfast and lunch if you are not into cooking in that moment. It is on old Route 66.

Amazing food!

This is an “old school” campground. Slightly uneven sites and older smaller bathhouse. That said I give it 5 stars because it excels in other areas. The ladies at the office were all wonderful, friendly and efficient. It was close to the road, but we did not here a sound, and most surprisingly the restaurant had amazing food. My breakfast burrito with chorizo was one of the best I’ve ever had. If we lived in Flagstaff we’d come here just for food.

Awesome Spot

We were driving thru Flagstaff on our way back to Arkansas and I saw a beautiful snow capped mountain! The weather was too perfect not to stop and ski! We took a risk on the only RV spot we could find and it was perfect!! Willow checked us in, showed us our spot and was very helpful and accommodating! They have a lovely, small restaurant and the food was excellent!!

We were pleased to get our family's RV & tent sites adjacent under the pines. Got to set up our new Napier Sportz SUV tent & our Subaru Forester. Wonderful clean bathrooms and warm showers. Pet friendly & warm welcome at check-in.

Nice and well maintained campground with options for all types of camping!

Great campground in heavily wooded area. Very close to downtown Flagstaff. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Bathrooms and showers were very nice and recently remodeled. They have a variety of site options to accommodate RVs and travel trailers to tents and pop-ups.

Little bit of something for everyone

Our 32' class C pulling a Jeep Wrangler had no trouble getting around in this well maintained campsite. They have dry camping, full hookups, tents, teardrop trailers, Class A's...a little bit if everything. The shop had a limited supply of essentials but your so close to town that if you needed something it's no hassle to go run to the store. Bathrooms and showers looked like they had been recently remodeled and we're super clean. Will for sure stay here again!

To close for Comfort

This RV park is very woodsy, with lots of shade. They offer breakfast burritos at the office from 8-11am. At this time, the laundry is open(showers are closed) but a mask should be worn when in the laundry facility and office. The pricing is$2.00 per wash and$1.50 to dry. The park only offers 30 amp service. Although this park is quite expansive and nowhere near at full capacity, the sites are very tightly assigned beside one another. There is NO social distancing available when your neighbor is less than a few feet away. We will not be returning to this RV park. In addition, the electrical hookups were at ground level with no breaker box.

Camp in tall Douglas Firs

Good older Campground with State Park feel. It must have been out of town but is now on the edge of town. Great breakfast tacos at the RV store.
