Great alpine experience!

Mormon Lake is an astonishing campground: all in alpine forests, at about 6500’. Mild summer, with cool nights, many escape the heat of PHX up here.

Many 30/50 amp full-hook up sites, with a laundry and shower room( though, this time, the showers were closed for repairs.

Mormon Lake is a huge natural flat spot in the Coconino National Forest, that even when full, might only be 5’ feet deep.

Not a lot here

Not a lot here. Even without dealing with Covid there is very little to do. Campground is very tight and your neighboring camper is directly facing your front. You basically share your front space and picnic table (if you're lucky enough to get one). There is also no wifi nor cable, not even anything available through an antenna. If you do camp here bring dvds. There are a few radio stations but that's it. Their pizza or restaurant is only on weekends and the salon is closed. Store runs out of coffee in the morning and is not refilled. All in all, find somewhere else.

Nice area but very cramped accommodations

Stayed here for 4 nights. The Mormon Lake area is very nice and secluded. However, the RV sites are so packed together that you barely have room to put out your slides or awnings. They do have a few sites with 50amp hook ups. The remaining hook-up sites are 30amp. There is sewer and water at each of the sites as well. There is a general store on property that has many things from groceries to camping supplies as well. Only the first three rows of sites are wooded, the rest are basically just in an open field.

What are the prices and costs for staying at Mormon Lake Campground?

Mormon Lake Lodge RV Park & Campground offers camping options at various price points, though specific rates aren't detailed. The campground provides different site types including those with full hookups (water, electric, and sewer), which likely command higher rates than more basic sites. Remember to ask about any additional fees for extra vehicles or amenities when making your reservation.

What are the lodging options at Mormon Lake, including cabins?

Mormon Lake Lodge RV Park & Campground primarily offers RV and tent camping sites rather than developed cabin accommodations. The campground focuses on providing spaces for visitors bringing their own lodging (RVs, trailers, or tents). Is there an RV park or trailer facilities at Mormon Lake?

Yes, Mormon Lake Lodge RV Park & Campground offers dedicated facilities for RVs and trailers. The campground features hookup sites with water, electric, and sewer connections. Some sites provide 50-amp service, while most hookup sites offer 30-amp electrical connections. However, be aware that the RV sites are notably compact with limited space between neighbors - you may have tight clearance for extending slides and awnings. The layout positions neighboring campers facing each other, creating shared front spaces and sometimes shared picnic table areas. This close-quarters setup may not be ideal for those seeking privacy or spacious camping.
