Quaint and convenient!

Very easy to find, just outside the Saguaro National Park (West District). The sites and loops were very well maintained and had some beautiful views. Bathrooms were well kept and dumpsters were convenient to find. All sites had picnic tables and seating, some of them had canopies that were nice to…

This was a great place to spend the winter

We spent 4 months here over the winter months. Big spacious pull thru spots and very clean and well maintained. Clubhouse and pool were closed due to Covid over reaction, and the price was still the same without those amenities.

Park is out away from civilization, with a lot of hiking /biking…

Perfect for overnight

This campground is perfect for quick overnight visits. It’s just off the freeway with full hookups. It’s near the train tracks and out in the middle of the desert (and not the pretty part of the desert). But the views of the mountains are nice.

Quiet and Friendly

There was a small complication about my reservation, which was entirely my mistake and the wonderful camp hosts fixed (thanks, Shane and Vicky!), but I ended up doing a first-come-first-serve campsite search. Midweek in May, I had my pick, and found a wonderful site with tons of room, right at the…

  • The trek to the top wzs worth it, not just because cell and internet live here.
  • The ground sparkles a little. Sit or lie on the dirt and you or your dog will look like you're returning from a rave in the desert, covered in dust and glitter.

Cactus Mountain Vista

The path leads up a mountain away from the city lights of Tuscon. It’s just a short drive away. There’s plenty of spots. Watch out for huge ants! We almost camped on a mound. They won’t bother you however. All in all a good spot. It overlooks Saguaro National Park. You can see the many cacti from…

Great Time!

We just went camping here our first time last weekend and we had a great time! A very kid friendly campground, they had lots of things to keep you busy! 2 pools, a playground, game room, pickle ball courts, mini golf, RC car track, go-cart rentals, golf cart rentals, dog parks, activity’s for kids,…

Amazing State Park

This State Park is an amazing place. I’m lucky enough to live in Benson, AZ where it is located. The Cavern tours (if you are lucky enough to get a reservation during COVID) are spectacular! There is a short movie about the Caverns discovery back in the 60’s which is well done & very…

Definitely a winner!

Quiet, clean, a winner! I've stayed at this campground three times now. It's always such a pleasure to stay here. The bathrooms are clean, the people are nice, and the sites are well-spaced. Even managed to get a 23 mile bike ride through the desert today. Great place to stay when exploring Saguaro…

Cleanest campsites ever!

1-17-2021 site 33. Talk about clean! This is by far the cleanest campsite I have stayed at. The camp host are really nice and really do care about the camps. Nice and quiet at night. Electric and water at the sites. And some cool Arizona fire rings. We weren’t able to go into the caves because…

Fun but dirty and noisy

Great Lake if you can hop on a kayak and get away from the day beach area. Weekends during the summer are crazy. It’s the only real lake in the whole area so it is what it is. We go 3/4 times a year. Bird watching is amazing. Also can hike the trail and see some cows. Water and electric on sites…

Beautiful lake and trails, a bird watchers heaven.

We camped in our Tellaro in space 18. It's a nice wide spot where we could easily fit a 2nd vehicle or a 5th wheel and truck. Due to Covid the bathrooms, water hookups and dump station were closed but they all looked like nice facilities. The camp spaces are nicely spaced out except for 2. #'s 35…

A real Arizona gem of a dispersed camp spot

This area is also called Empire Ranch. The ranch is 44,000 acres boastes lots of wildlife elk, antelope, coyotes, kangaroo rats, and roadrunners. The ranch house can be toured along with several bunkhouse and barns. Several western movies have been shot on the ranch and lots of the scenery looks…
