Don’t plan to return.

Wisconsin campgrounds were crowded on the weekends this summer, and we weren’t able to find a public option so landed here in mid-September. Hosts were brusque, and we started our stay by picking up trash around our campsite, ignoring cans crushed into roadways and general tiredness of the campground. Virtually all sites are for seasonal campers; some maintain sites lovingly, and it appears that the place was at one time a thriving kind of community. But quite a few sites are pretty ragged, music was loud at night, and it was generally just kind of depressing. Was glad to get back on the road.
