We arrived at Lake of the Pines knowing sites were reservable. We didn't know they had to be reserved. There were no less than eleven signs at the entrance. You could purchase a vehicle pass required for entry but could not pay for camping. The instructions said to call a telephone number. With…
Great place - except for the neighboring land owners dog.
We had a beautiful site that faced the lake. Easy to get into. No sewer on our site but some sites have full hook ups.

This rating is only based upon what we look for in a campground. You may enjoy this type of adventure.
Our campsite is the furthest non electric from the restrooms and they put a vault toilet right next to the main restroom instead of over this way. We do have wonderful evening shade which is…

I learned I don't like being in populated campgrounds unless their is a view other than your 25 nearest fellow campers. Nice store, nice people.
Great rustic campground in northern WI. Quiet, relaxing on a lake with little to no mosquitoes. Clean vault toilets, dumpsters, and fresh drinking water. Take note no cell service.

Large playground, biking,hiking
Clean, efficient, groomed, with a new owner who is enthusiastic and really working hard to provide a great customer service experience. When, if ever, have you been to a campground that disinfects the dump station between uses? Yep, this one does.
We were fortunate to experience this…
Overall a decent Campground. Lots are spacious. Layout of fire pit on sites are poor. For example lot 76, fire is offset to the left of the electrical post. This is a problem since majority of RVs have awnings on the right side and electrical hook up on the back left side. Our fire pit ended up…
This large campground stretches out along the lakeshore. Some sites have beautiful lake views(we suggest trying those first). There are also some double sites that would nestle you in closely with your neighbors- perfect for a larger group. A few walk in spots are available too.

This is much smaller than the north trout lake campground. There were also a bunch of trucks with boat trailers parked on the road in. This means that there is a lot of activity here.
The sites are ok. They look nice and are on a small loop. Toilets and water are available. The drawback for…

The State Forest is very beautiful. There is a lake as well as the Flambeau River to explore. There are two campgrounds, Lake of the Pines which has 30 non-electric sites and Connor Lake which has 3 electric sites and 26 non-electric. All sites have a picnic table and a fire ring. There are no play…

My family, along with a couple other families, used to camp here for a week every year when we were kids. There are 2 beaches, trails, beautiful wooded sites, and the lakes water is as clear as advertised. You will need to reserve your site 11 months in advance because it fills up fast. If you have…
Very run down bathroom and shower facilities. When we were here the site next to us housed some rather undesirable folks. No noise policy here either. Lots of mosquitos. Would not stay here again.
Nice campground. Lots of RVs but decent tent spots. Cool little park with swimming area.
