Hickory oaks

Very nice place to camp. Quite and friendly. Small but accommodates all types of campers. Has 30 and 50 Amp hookups. Tenting up to cabin, they have two. My second year long term camping here. On the edge of the city and close to everything.

I loved this place!

I enjoyed my stay at Springhetti Acres very much! I was very impressed how you could choose where you camped and how you saw no other campers camping next to you.

My brother in law and some friend brought our Airstream and we parked right inside the pines. We had such a great time.

We…

Great time in nature.

We had a massive group and we enjoyed our time here. They had many trails to walk on with some being awesome valleys. There are many spots for you to choose where you could camp, but they really let you choose your own spot. We wanted to be near the shower so we parked and camp closer to the…

Great little Campground

Our site was S10 which has its pros and cons it is a full hook-up site this section of the campground is fairly new so there is a few in mature trees so there is not much for shade as we walked around the campground we found some full hookup sites that would be great in the wooded area so there…

Nice place

I had an outside loop site. The inside loop is open and sites seem close. Lake is nice for swimming and recreating. Had fun with my son on this trip.

Great stop

On the Embarrass River, a lovely small cascading falls and swimming area. Small store, nicely maintained grounds. Rachel, the owner is very nice. We absolutely lived our stay, would have stayed longer if there were a y availability. We will return.

Very nice and clean!

This is a beautiful campground. There are LOTS of full-timers here, but for the most part, their setups are nice, if not elaborate! There is only one washer snd one dryer in the laundromat and no sewer hookups in temporary sites. The grounds have lots of clear grassy areas and there are lots of…

Fishing or boating

Well it’s like most county parks in Wisconsin. It has both pit and flush bathrooms, shower, firewood, even ice. It is right by a boat launch with sis a nice one fees are free with camping. There is a cool look out Tower. And a restaurant just down a block. But I would go try the pizza at the…

Great campground!

Has lots of facilities including a bar and grill restaurant. Half of the sites are in woods which feels a lot like state parks.

Very open and family friendly

Easy to get to, bathrooms were decent, places to set up outdoor games. Spots are a little open but good sized capsite.

Nice state park with lots to do

We went to High Cliff over the 4th of July, so it was quite busy.

We booked sites 22 and 23 which are a double site. Pretty good space, we were able to fit 4 tents and a sleeping hammock. There is overflow parking directly across from the site. There is a main hiking trail behind the sites,…

Permanent Sites Rules...

The owner was very nice and helped us get around on the map. With over 500 sites and 350 of them being permanent.... the weekend warriors tend to get "warnings".

We almost lost our golf cart and people literally drive past and stare. This is a little unsettling since we do have littles and with…
